I keep getting alerts from people's replys to the threads like to an absurd degree and can't figure out how to make it only alert me when the OP replies

Generate new alerts without reading threads
If enabled, clearing all "new post" alerts for a thread will allow new ones to generate, even if you haven't viewed the thread since your previous alert(s).
If disabled, new alerts will only be generated after you visit a thread.
Either set Alert Pop-up Options to "Never mark alerts as read", or "Use per-alert configuration". If you use the latter, you can select which alerts get auto-read, and which ones stick around until you click on them. For example, I have reactions set to auto-read, but story posts stick around until I go read them.Hey Mods, would it at all be possible to increase the contrast between the Alerts marked as seen and the Alerts marked as unread? It's kind of difficult for me to tell what I need to look at when I open my alert tab thingy.
In the same vein, would it at all be possible for me to change the alerts so that it doesn't mark any of them auto-seen? It disorients me every time I open the alerts just to see the number spike downward before I get a chance to understand anything.
I have I still want to get alerts just not from everyone that interacts with the thread.

Turn off "Replies to a watched thread" in the custom alert section.I have I still want to get alerts just not from everyone that interacts with the thread.
Will that not turn off OP replies?Turn off "Replies to a watched thread" in the custom alert section.
There's a separate option for OP-specific replies: "The thread starter replies to a watched thread"
*tests*Ruby also doesn't get carried over properly in a quote. Both bits of text are included, without the markup to keep them separate. (I had to edit the above quote to get rid of the extra.) Abbreviation also loses its BBCode, but it at least keeps the base text in place without issue.
I had the same problem when I posted a oneshot. Everything ended up triple-spaced (already mentioned in a prior post) and I know nothing changed on my end because it was from the same notes program that I've been using from the start. Also it's actually accepting the formatting like bold and italics directly from the document which it wasn't prior to the update. Which is nice because formatting code is annoying to type in. I usually end up missing a / somewhere and it borks everything. Is there clean paste in the new update? I noticed when posting a chapter that I had to go through and delete spaces between lines and I don't think I changed anything on my end.
agreed.IS THERE A WAY TO PREVENT TWITTER AND REDDIT LINKS FROM BEING POSTED AS WHOLE IMAGES OR SOMETHING?
I JUST WANT TO POST SOURCE LINKS! NOT THE WHOLE THING!
IT'S GETTING ANNOYING!
Go to notification settings and disable Generate new alerts without reading threadsWhy am I getting notifications for every single post in a thread?
I used to only get notifications for threadmarks and new posts if I had read all of the posts.
It's not a huge problem, but it means it's annoying when I keep getting notifications for stories I'm not currently reading, and topics I already have a tab opened for while I catch up.
Might just unwatch them all at this point.
As Bear Mint said, there's the "Generate new alerts without reading threads" that is for some reason on be default *narrows eyes at that checkbox*.Why am I getting notifications for every single post in a thread?

Hadn't realized it but I think it's gone, yes. Kinda miss it nowIs the little pop-up "you have new alerts" in the bottom left corner for when there are new alerts while you're browsing gone or am I dumb?
Don't keep deleting cookies? Is there a way to set a particular font size permanently? Every time I log in, I have to change the font size from the default to my preferred size
If I disabled the alerts 'Replies to a watched thread', will I still receive notifications of the OP?
I was trying rich text disabled mode because I prefer direct bb code to the xenforo wysiwyg, but it's been stopping me from inputing simple line breaks with the enter key. As in, it shows in the edit box but filters them out when I go to post. Is this intended?
