[Normal Mode - Be born with either high-class parents or middle-class ones, near the same age group as the main character, and be born in the same state/province as the main character. Be able to choose all the routes without restrictions and have access to skill [ID create]-[ID Escape]-[Observe]. Warning!!! Level will be capped at 500, the host's EXP and money generation will stay at base value.]


[Hard mod - Be born with low-class parents within a 5-year age gap with the main character, and be born on the same continent as the main character. Be able to choose only 3 routes and have access to skill [Observe] as skill [ID create] and [ID escape] will be locked forever. Warning!!! Level will be capped at 1000, and the host's EXP and Money generation rate will be multiplied by 2.]


[Expert mode - Be born as literally any kind of creature that exists on any planet and be born at any time during the planet's existence. Be able to choose only 1 route. Enemies will be twice as strong! And enemy encounters will be three times as likely! Warning!!! Level will not be capped, and the host's EXP and Money Generation will be multiplied by 3; the host will receive the ability to choose their skill. The system assistant will be removed once the tutorial is over! The host won't have access to the Shop, Map, Settings, or Gacha! The host will have access to [ID-create] and [ID-escape]! Skill [Observe] will be locked]

"Yo God?" I call out the Morgan Freeman-looking motherfucker who is sitting across from me as I read over the options on the bright holographic screen, blinding me with its mocking blue glow.


"Hmm? What is it mortal?" He responds as he takes a sip from the steaming hot cup of green tea resting on the table without a coaster. Fucking savage.


"What the hell is this?" I question. I didn't even move my hand, and the expert mode was already selected.


"What does it look like?" He replies all nonchalantly with a closed-eyed smile as if he weren't the one who did this to me.


"It looks like you're trying to dick me over," I state bluntly, calling him out. I have no actual proof that he did this, but this old ass man seems like the type of person to do this just for entertainment.


"Why would I need to do that? When I could have just sent you in without ever knowing about a difficulty setting?" He asks with a condescending smile on his face.


"Because you seem like the type of person who wants your victim to know who fucked them in the ass when you do it."


"That's a very...vulgar analogy." He recoils slightly.


"Am I wrong?" I ask with an eyebrow raised.


"Well...no." He chuckles.


I let out a heavy sigh. Why the fuck are there options to select a difficulty anyway? I know it's a game, but what the hell?! I thought this was supposed to be a system that helped me get infinite power, not one that made my life a living hell.


"It will help you gain power, but it won't be for free. No one said the path to power was an easy one." He says as he takes another sip from his green tea.


"Get out of my head, you pedophile."


"I'm not a pedophile," He refutes.


"Then stop penetrating me."

[Warrior - A knight is what you are, you follow the path of the blade and prepare to cut down the heretics that stand in your way while staring them in the eye and asserting your dominance through immeasurable pride and mortal combat. + 1 to all stats during level up]


[Brawler - You want to get up close and personal with your enemies, preferring to duke it out man to man, hand to hand in bloody combat, where both defense and power are a must if you want to survive. +2 to END, AGI, STR, VIT during level up + Skill [Spartan Rage]


[Thief - A sneaky bastard, that's what you are. A dirty little thief, a filthy fucking scoundrel that was beaten by your mother, who should have aborted you when she had the chance. You take you're shitty childhood trauma out on your poor unsuspecting victims by robbing them of all their belongings. +1 AGI +1 STR +2 SEN + 3 DEX during level up, + Skill [Conceal]]


[Assassin - You are vengeance, you are the night, the shadows are your family, the Brotherhood is your creed, and you must live by it or die at the hands of your coven. +3 AGI + 3 SEN + 1 DEX + 1 STR during level up + Skill [Sneak]]


[Healer - A simple, more honest soul that would rather not engage in a fight and heal instead of kill, your soul is pure, and your intentions are just and right, your spot in heaven is almost guaranteed. + 1 WIS +1 INT + 1 VIT during level up, + Skill [Heal]]


[Mage - Swords? daggers? fisticuffs? Who cares about those? You only want EXPLOSION!!! +3 INT + 3 WIS during level up + Skill [Magic circle comprehension] + Skill [Magic circles]]


"Wow." I am amazed at this entire thing.


"It's just a list of classes. What's so interesting about this?" God asked, confused.


"The fact that you ripped off Assassin Creed, Konosuba, every abuse victim ever, Batman, RWBY, and Mortal Kombat. What the hell, dude?" I'm surprised that God even knows what half of these are.


I thought deities were above the mortal pleasures, but I guess not. Wait, does this mean that God beats his meat as well?

Actually I don't want to know the answer to that.


"Creativity is a difficult process. Don't judge me." He tries to justify with a shrug of his shoulders.


"I'm sure it is, but really, man? This entire thing is just a giant copyright infringement. I'm talking millions of dollars in settlements."


"Just pick a route already." He sighs.


Turning my attention back to the options, I look them over.


I only have one class since I'm forced to play expert mode, so I should be careful about this. Theif, Assassin, and mage are out of the picture because I don't plan on becoming a glass cannon, that's exactly what I'm going to get based on the descriptions of those classes.


The healer is out for obvious reasons.


So my only options are brawler and warrior.


Warrior looks like it will be an all-rounder type class that can do a little bit of what all the other classes can do, with a slow but steady stat increase. A Jack of all trades, master of none type class that will eventually fall off in the latter half of the game. A decent choice, but the fact that it has no unique skill is also a bit of a turn-off.


Meanwhile, the brawler gets the biggest stat boost during level up, and it has a skill that undoubtedly boosts STR and END when activated, however, it leaves out Int and Wis during level-ups which means my MP stat, comprehension, and overall IQ will be absolute shit, and that's not something I want for myself in the future.


"Guess my only option is the warrior class."

Huh.


This is a lot better than I figured.


When they said I could create my skill, I didn't think it would be like this. There are a lot of broken abilities I can make since it's so open-ended. I have no idea if this is a bug or if I need something like this for Expermode, but either way, I'm not going to complain about it.


But what to choose?


I know from my albeit vague knowledge of Marvel and DC, some of the various cosmic abilities that exist in the verse have the power to manipulate reality on a universal scale if trained to the extreme.


But that would be after years of training, and I need something that could help me at the start of the game, but at the same time have enough potential to evolve and still be useful near the endgame. If there is an end game.


Should I just get a TARDIS-like ability?


Time and space manipulation would be cool.

[Drawbacks: This ability needs precise coordinates to navigate through the time and space stream; otherwise, the user may be flung off into the infinite void and die.]

"What else am I supposed to do while you take ages to decide on a skill that you probably will forget about in the future?" God replies as he takes yet another sip from his green tea.


"Go back to the Romans or something, I'm sure they'd like a visit," I muttered.


This skill isn't bad, but it's not what I'm looking for.


Though it did give me an idea for a skill that I can use.

[Abilities: Slice through the air with your hand or a weapon and cut through time and space to ignore all defense and possibly open portals to other universes.]


[Drawbacks: This ability needs a 30-second cooldown, and if used with a weak body or a low-quality weapon, they will break.]


"And you called me out on ripping off media." God rolls his eyes at me and then goes back to drinking his tea.


I turn to him, confused.


"How is that cup not empty yet?" I question whether he has taken sip after sip for the past 5 minutes, and that shit is still full.


"Magic." He reveals dramatically.


Rolling my eyes, this time I turn my attention back to the screen as a new message appears.


[Skill has been chosen! This is the end of the tutorial!]


Wait, that's it?


"Yep, that's it."


What did I say?! Get out of my head!


"Then speak out loud."


Fuck you.


God once again snorts.


"Have fun, and don't die too early. I wanna enjoy the show."


And then everything went black.

Aaaand now I'm thinking of a fic where the guy gets yetted to a random world with one boon and one drawback, and he's linked to a Roll System that upon him rolling, gives him a choice of one from three boons, each with their own unique drawback.

You wonder why im thinking that due to the quote? His first roll boon was being Bowser.
