I hesitate to say they're dead. Dead implies that I have zero interest in returning to them. I definitely do, but my muse goes where it goes and I'm not able to force anything when it comes to writing. Quality drops, it becomes slop, and I hate it. It's possible— I've come back to other stories before even if for a brief period.

If you think about it, Faerun/Toril/whatever DND canon settings and the Goblin Slayer world aren't really that different in terms of "deathworldness", but the Goblin Slayer world brought the unspoken rules to the forefront, which is that this is all just a giant boardgame of the gods, one bad dice means you're fucked. It's never played out in DND, some authors don't even acknowledge it, but it's actually the same.

It'll need a rewrite if I take another go at it because the writing made me cringe the last time I got a look at it. Plus, I fell out of love with WC fics a while back.

That said, I'll probably go back to MHA as a setting in the future. And I really liked Ebi-chan's concept as a character. So, I honestly don't really know. :3
