It's a gacha game with some anime and manga spinoffs. The plot is ridiculous messy because of alternate timelines and dimensions all coming to the main/POV timeline.
Basically, humanity created anthropomorphic ships to fight against invaders with futuristic tech called Sirens. But, Sirens were actually created by humanity in the future/an alt timeline and are trying to prepare humanity for a greater threat.

You know, it never really made any sense that Itachi had to kill all the old, retired, disabled, young, infantile, etc. of the Uchiha clan, like that entire action served no purpose, and it didn't even serve Danzo's purpose either
