Writing Nightbloom is, in a fundamental sense, an exercise in optimism. And that is hard to do when it is no longer possible to be optimistic.

So, for now at least, the best I can do is write base escapism instead. What the future holds, I decline to speculate.

Ugh. Foxxo ate beef pierogi from a brand called Grandma's Pierogis today. It cost more for a tiny bunch of tiny beef pierogis with uncooked beef in them, than it did for a 2kg bag of cheemo pierogis, and it tasted like soviet era hospital food was described to me by a buddy way back.

Needles to say, I feel sick and puked a lot.

It's perfectly fine to keep like-bombing stories. I get where elsewhere is coming from, but people do it all the time.

Admittedly, if you haven't actually read a comment you probably shouldn't leave a Like on it, but even that's not a hard and fast rule.

I haven't ever liked a comment I didn't read, it might just come off as that since I read pretty fast. I didn't know it sent notifications until the comment from elsewhere, then I forgot that it did. I can stop liking your stuff if you want, since I mostly do it to orient myself as to where I left off if I'm away from a story for a while
