For some reason, many puppets in wuxia and xianwu seem to all be "autonomous, mobile, perpetual motion"... basically like ancient wooden robots wtf
who dat avatar? Feel like I've seen it somewhere before... or maybe not, as blue-haired boys are common.

Why do most adaptations of Dracula have Mina return the Count's affections? The only scene they share in the book is a non-con one. Do filmmakers just like ntr that much?

Horny writers/directors are into it because most of the people in Hollywood and filming in general are degenerates that are into it.
I feel like people like Anko because she's like a ninja goth girl feeling or something, but she's really not, and it's like she's not even as good as Kurenai, I don't know, it's not like like I dislike her, it's just that I don't like her either, you know what I mean? Like I don't get her appeal, and it's like they all have to talk about how she shouldn't have turned into a lard ass

So, do people like Highschool of the Dead fanfics because they like zombies or because of the characters?

A bit of this, a bit of that. Zombie stuff is fun, and HighSchool of the Dead was of the first anime I watched as it was being released (not counting the big ones that aired on TV and kept airing for year).

Plus as a world for a fanfic it gives you a lot of space to work with on account of limited world building. I heard the author was going to add mystical elements later on, but we will never know what he had planned.
Modular setups are preferable, having this single expensive non-repairable blackbox fail is quite annoying. Literally all my stuff works... except the expensive paperweight my setup depends on. *pout*

Whitebox/DIY is the way. A bit more expensive at the start, but being able to actually repair them ends up a lot cheaper when something goes wrong.
Random Search brought something odd up. What Quest has the 2IQ who mistook a Night Lord for a Loyalist?
Merry Day After Christmas. Tales of Berseria was on sale for 5 moose bucks somehow so I am eating well. And drowning in games. Help.

It's from 4chan's /qst/ board called Tyranid-Girl Quest. It's pretty Kino, As the title suggests: Inquisitor Kryptman made 99, a loli human/tyranid hybrid to fight against the Hivemind.

"Because you wanted a LOLI, LOLI God turned you into a LOLI, after you died to a LOLI truck while saving a LOLI on the street, causing you to be reborn as a LOLI..."
So there's a Chinese idiom for "your mouth says no, but your body says yes", being "口是心非". Four words to say so much, very fun.
You know, like, how in the less well-written "battle schools", like, idk, RWBY, DLDL, etc. and the like, you never see any signs of classes on language or math, or budgeting and taxes, so on and so forth, it's a little puzzling, like how do these 12 year old kids know how to read well enough to understand them secret ancient scriptures or whatever

If I had to guess, it's because they're expected to go out and fight for their profession and just hire people to do that kind of thing with the money they make from fighting, and anything else is hobby/electives/minutiae that don't get shown in an action series

The combat related classes give them the XP needed to level up, and they have some leftover skill points that they dump into utility and/or random skills, like Basic Literacy, Ancient Languages, American Tax Law, Iterated Logic Puzzles, Scrimshaw, etc.

These chinese protagonists who call themselves 'young master' (not the 'arrogant young master of 少爷', but 'but the little bastards of 小爷') and says fuck ('卧槽') all the time are like the worst and least cultured to the point of gross type of asshole protagonists, immediate turn off
Historical "courtly love", you know the romance between a knight and a princess, originating from France feels like an excuse for people to cuckold the king.
