Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

Not really, cloaking devices are common enough that people at least generally know about them.
I was being figurative not literal. Yes, people have heard of them. They also require rare natural materials to produce. Stygium Crystals for example. Actually running into one is rare, and they're not particularly scalable production wise due to the material requirements. Plus depending on the materials used, the cloaking device blinds the ship using it.

Fair enough, but the fact that the Tie Phantom exists proves tbe idea is feasible. It's just a matter of casting a wide enough net in regards to potential means and methods to make it happen.

Given that the Empire had to crack open a planet to make that happen, and that basically rendered Stygium Cloaking Devices into Star Wars equivalent of archeotech post-destruction, I'm not sure Tie Phantoms are the best example there.

True, but what I mean is that they aren't the ONLY example. Given time and incentive to do so humanity has found new ways to reverse engineer or synthetically produce many things. Hell, in WW2 we cound out how to make synthetic rubber and plastic because the natural sources were unavailable or couldn't keep up with demand. Given time, resources and incentive to.do.so, I can certainly see the techies at Mimda coming up with new methods of cloaking tech.
