Having Winter be a mentor for Jaune in a potential V10 makes pretty good sense, though.

Helping a man who has gone through that much mental trauma to finally find a way to come to grips with it would be a good story for V10 underneath the other story elements such as getting strategic on Salem and company.

Granted, I think Winter should be helping train him in more facets (physically and discipline, honing what he's learned from his experience and from Pyrrha). But being a confidant and a friend outside of the teams would do him a world of good. I think it would be much better than if he tried to talk more with Oz/Oscar and/or Qrow.

I am still of the mind that they should just do a reboot. Call it RWBY - World of Remnant or something. The current volumes as they are have turned people off from RWBY, and honestly, it is like spreading far too little butter on far too much bread.
