A relative is giving me their Switch 1 as they no longer play it, and I haven't played on a Nintendo console in decades at this point, so I need advice on what to games to buy.
Which Zelda games?
Which Pokemon games?
Any others?
Splatoon 2 and 3.A relative is giving me their Switch 1 as they no longer play it, and I haven't played on a Nintendo console in decades at this point, so I need advice on what to games to buy.

Are they giving you any of their old games, or did they just upgrade to Switch 2 and pass on their Switch 1 to you?
Not a Pokemon guy so I can't say much besides what I already did. I did remember one other Switch exclusive that was real good, Astral Chain.I'm honestly not certain what all I'm getting besides the console, and all the accessories.
Any opinions on Pokemon titles?
I think my last Pokemon series was on Game Boy Advance.
If you like god awful games maybe...Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and Echoes of Wisdom for sure. There's also the Super Mario RPG remake if you didn't catch the original, though the extra content I didn't really like.
I'll have to look through my games when I get home...
Still finding Dead As Disco to be Interesting but still don't have the money for it. Apparently they have Boss Rushes in the Challenges. The Early Access only is up to after the "Get The Band Back Together" Phase if anyone is curious. Not up to the "Topple The Man" part. Also changed Hemlock's Music for Copyright Reasons, 50/50 on if it's actually any better.Content Disclaimer said:As per Rule 8 Point 3: If in your Opinion my Post in any capacity, shape, and/or form Violates Rule 5, 8, or 9 then inform me so I may Delete the Post. Its from that age when games could have puzzles as punny as "choosing what's right" to tell you whether to open the chest on the left or the right. I spent a LOT of time playing that game when i was a kid, now if only some of the secret levels weren't absolute nightmares to complete.Delved deep in the lands of ye olden games and played Gauntlet: Dark Legacy for the first time in a couple decades. You know, it still holds up. Not surprising since it's an arcadey dungeon crawler with just enough QoL features to make it fairly timeless. Only real flaw is the pathfinding for enemies, especially the big ones like golems and generals, can be kinda crap.

The Trenches secret level. It's so damn dark and a total maze. Its from that age when games could have puzzles as punny as "choosing what's right" to tell you whether to open the chest on the left or the right. I always went with the Sorceress. I was young enough at the time that I only realized later it was because boobs.GDL holds up supremely, it had surprising amounts of depth for an arcade game PS2/Gamecube port. Played Archer when I was a kid.
I went Wizard because they got a dragon as their familiar. But yeah, Sorceress was definitely a looker in all four colors.I always went with the Sorceress. I was young enough at the time that I only realized later it was because boobs.![]()
