Maybe, tho the only 2 star destroyers that were stationed on Scarif were both destroyed during the battle. So unless the Navy sister gets redeployed somewhere else, then there's a pretty big chance she'll die. Buts it's still a couple of years before Episode 4 kicks off so jury is still out.
 
Given the new information that their mother might be more hot air than dangerous it might be funny if something else sends the Commandant away.

Mugwuffin is probably smarter than a mere pet. She might be at the level of a familiar as a companion animal. And she probably has hidden abilities not shown yet.

If Las is sent to die in the infantry, they will be separated. Who will feed and take care of her then? Scratch her?

People were saying earlier but if Mugwuffin was like Goose from Captain Marvel and say the mother comes by abruptly and invades Las's office to establish dominance or some shit and Las is somewhere else rushing back to deal with her. The Commandant scoffs and goes on about how pets are a weakness or some other Kool-aid nonsense only for Mugwuffin to do some Cthulthu shit, fully open all her mandibles, showing the black hole of oblivion that is her mouth, or something else only to shift back to normal when Las comes before leaping into his arms.

Could terrify dear mother away.

She managed reach the escape pods in time and survived , but with all that scariff clusterfuck were demoted and send in exile in a certain backwater system...

Unbelievable, but would love to see it! Also, her brother dearest would get this way a capable captain of ISD... Even if without ISD.
 
Tbh, I'm hoping that his mom is just the sort of hard-ass-but-caring, but doesn't know hot to properly show it mother type instead of the selfish bitch type of mom.

I dunno, I just love those sorts of dynamics in stories.

It is funny to consider that Las might be in charge of more people than his mom at this point. He's certainly in charge of more square territory than Commandant Mola. Commandants in Star Wars are generally put in charge of one installation or military force. Think on the scale of a prison camp, academy, or garrison on one planet.

So even if Mola is in charge of an important location, she is in turn tied to a single, limited location that she can't leave for long periods of time. A Commandant can't amass that much personal political influence due to lack of mobility. Any trouble is going to have to be done by relying on people higher up the food chain to reach far enough to affect Minda.

MC needs to invest into building vacation options for population.
People now have money so you need a way to gently get them out of their pockets. Good for mental health too).
Beach & mountain resorts, hot springs, underwater casino, amusement park etc. Get different options for kids & adults. Sky and water diving, petting zoo, have r&d make arcades, look into light drugs,alcohol and escorts situation. Whatether.

Oh, and buying Golan-2 or maybe even 3 for capital defence(& maybe few more for other assets) sounds like a good idea. Planet defense weapons looks good on the list too.

Thrawn might decide that having a competent and noncorrupt Imperial governor star system under his thumb would be *really* useful. Useful enough to have some manufacturing, R&D and other backup facilities built in the star system. Having a fully working TIE Defender prototype (engineer samples / beta testing copies) construction line built and protected by an ISD in the star system, may well get Thrawn's stamp of approval. The R&D center along with the construction line might be for working out the kinks in the new starfighter design and attempting to setup the mass production lines. Since this will be a much different TIE variant, it will have different points in the construction which will be the bottlenecks. That will require more study to smooth out those bottleneck points as much as possible.
That might also get the oldest sister's ship sent there to patrol / defend the star system/sector as a form of pseudo-exile/promotion. That would depend on the clearance level of people looking into the ship reassignment orders. The people who are *not* in the know about the advanced prototype(s) would probably think that this is a pseudo-exile because the oldest sister screwed up *somehow* or offended some political bigshot and needed to be shuffled off into semi-exile.

If this happens, it seems more and more likely that the MC will have a fully functional production line for a good chunk of Imperial military hardware. Sure he won't be able to produce many capital ships at a time, but even just having a decent orbital shipyard or refit/repair yard would make his system fairly self-reliant for naval stuff. Especially when the DS1 gets blown up in under 2 years time.

There is a jungle planet full of unknown diseases and parasites and immigrants coming in from across the sector that could carry a Star Wars disease.

For turning an asteroid into a quarantine world the Governor could make it the base for his own version of the CDC (Center for disease control and prevention) from earth.

Star wars has a lot of deadly diseases like the Blue shadow virus and the Brainrot plague among many others that could be researched for testing cures/vaccines, such as facility needs to be far away from the normal population while still being close enough for monitoring and protection.

Star Wars contains many deadly parasites like the Cymote but of particular concern to someone like the governor is the existence of parasites that can take control of the host and act normally.

The Brain worm and the Abersyn symbiote were two parasitic species that could take control of the hosts and even completely act normal so having ways to detect and remove them would be valuable to the governors peace of mind.

Another project such as facility could work on could be finding ways to detect and exterminate infestations of Stone mite and the Conduit worm before they can damage the infrastructure too much.

All that research into curing disease or eliminating parasite infestations will come in handy far in the future when the yuuzhan vong invade with all there biotechnology based horrors.

There's also the fact the daughters aren't in danger of their mother. They got out from under her thumb in their own ways and, pragmatically speaking, having her focusing her ire in Las' direction only works to their benefit.

They may care about Las, but their POVs make it clear they also don't care enough to actually do anything to protect him from her.

That could happen. But he has to hope that he doesn't get promoted right away. Otherwise the paperwork will double.
 
Thrawn is more trouble than his help is worth. Palpatin looks after him almost directly and whole Imperial Palace wanted his star gone.

Mugwuffing may be a native sentient scout of Minda system own death world pretending of being a pet.

Rubber ball is probably a memetic/paracasual/eldritch being and true source of this fic by the grace of using author as a medium while getting a cushy episodic role in the background.
On a side note yo-yo's are cool and have lower chances of kicking you in a crotch.

TIE defender need a simple variable thrust vectors.

Are you really stuck? Feels like you've got enough plot hooks to stock a fishing shop.

There are a couple of routes to take. You could choose one, or take them all. In concurrent or sequencily.

You have Las handling political intrigue, military threats, economic threats and family drama.

You can have the pirates funded by someone in the chain, some economic entity or even some tough love from Mola.

Las could call a favor from Zyx to investigate it, some old buddy from the academy, or start training spies in house.

You have minda. As Minda thrives, its success starts attracting Imperial bureaucrats looking to claim credit. One such official could arrive, demanding "closer cooperation" (or a mega corp/criminal empire). Forcing las to navigate this political mind field while keeping control of the system.

A new technology from R&D that is too valuable to nit get noticed. That admiral guy the ace sister reports to. What's up with him?

An Imperial Admiral takes notice of Las' efficiency and offers him an unofficial alliance—something dangerous if the Moff finds out.

The new representative system las put in, maybe it ruffles some feathers of someone in the sector? Some uprising?

You could have dear mother, seeing how las is thriving, begin making her moves early. Maybe she chooses to undermine him, forcing his sisters to take a side. Shal asking some favors from her admiral, zyx manipulating the sector's command chain to halt political movements. Maybe even the rebels make some noise, since they kinda lucked on las.


Anyway, I don't believe I'm really saying anything new here, you just gotta choose a plot hook, and continue it. Develop an arc around it, with the end of the first arc setting up things for the second arc.

Or, some of the clones are ex-501st and we get a random Vader step in because he's decided the planet makes a great retirement home for clones. Because the clones always seemed to be the one thing that Vader still gave a shit about after his fall.

Also, Vader sweeping a wanted pawn out from under Thrawn and getting one over Tarkin through his subordinate would be something he'd enjoy. The three don't get along (understatement) even if they can be professional iirc.

I now notice that you have a lot of hooks, and probably getting overwhelmed with the possibilities. Here are some actions you can take.

1 Clarify the Core Conflict: What's Las' main goal or challenge? Once that's clear, everything else can flow from it.

2 Focus on 1-2 Threads: Pick a few key plotlines to deepen. You can always loop back to other threads later.

3 Introduce a Catalyst: Add a surprise or event that pushes Las into action.

4 Build Tension Gradually: Raise stakes slowly to keep the story moving.

5 Let Character Choices Drive the Plot: Have Las make decisions that shape the next events. each choice should bring consequences that move the story forward. His actions (or inaction) will naturally lead to new plot developments.

If needed, create a timeline or map to visualize the flow of the story.

Now, about plot structure, there are a couple of dogmas that are floating around. Two of them are as such. The hero's journey, and the formula less story.

I'm going to assume you know about the hero's journey. Every writer reads or hears about it at some point. I'll point you to a really good video that argues the opposite.

Best if MC now for whatever reason is force sensetive (I mean getting past life memories or just plain trasmigration should make it having force potential) Getting as psudo acolyt to Vader because more is just plain wastfull(?) he is to usefull as how he is but a little of training as an Acolyt would be Nice to have him more powerfull and usefull (?) .

Minda 2 or 3 is oceanic world with archipelagos sp it would be good place to create resort planet

I think you miss-understand what the "planet" you referred to was used for, it was used to contain dangerous objects, not diseases (think SCP).

but this is not his mother, in the sense of yes it is the mother of this body but after all the present consciousness that governs this body belongs to someone completely different, someone who has no connection with this woman and her family, so it is logical to get rid of the threat to his life

so I still say he should find some way to kill her and make it look like an accident and he definitely has the resources to do it
