Just imagine Thrawn's reaction if MC develops QuickBooks Accounting tools or *gasp* MS Word with a spell checker. And Force help the Empire if MC develops Snapchat or Instagram for the masses. Regarding the comments about MC potentially fucking off in a few years, does he have any plans to get a top-model medical droid to do some facial reconstructive surgery? The Empire probably has some rudimentary Facial Recognition software. Also, it would probably be a good idea to get some multi-role droids to pilot his ship, and be used as personal protection before he makes like a rabbit.

Edit: Forgot to add, but I don't know if the currency will collapse with the possible/inevitable end of the Empire, so I think it would be smart of the MC to use as much money as he can, and use it to purchase non-perishable food (probably the Imperial equivalent of MRE's, just don't get the omelet one Chili-Mac is the best), medical supplies and materials that can easily be turned into useable currency afterward. But even if it doesn't collapse, prices will increase exponentially and transportation of goods will probably be fucked for a while before a new government takes over.

I was thinking about Zyx and when she was internally thinking about the Bore asteroid mine she first stopped at and the number of nonhumans and how there was no raial friction and how Zyx personally didn't care about human or nonhuman but had to outwardly nod at the Imperial party line.

Their mother seems to basically have drafted all of them into the Imperial military from birth. With the girls it seems to have worked outwardly in that they are what she wanted. Las not so much.

That could be interesting as a point in an argument if the mother comes with her Imperial Dragon Lady persona and starts trying to tear at him. That she basically drafted all of them from the womb and that they're all at least partially wearing the uniform because she wouldn't leave them alone.

If there is one spy running around there are probably a whole bunch of support, support you need to roll up as well unless you want another to slip through while you're distracted being paranoid. Which means interrogation. Then there is the fact that the sis probably immediately claimed she was MI the moment she was caught, which promptly put this shit above Zyx's head as far as she's concerned and so she escalated by taking it directly to about the only guy in the system who could maybe do something about it if she was MI. Ie. kicking shit up the chain. Even if what he did was order an execution cause then shit's on him if MI comes calling about their dead agent, as she just obeyed her superior's orders.

while I would agree with you, MI is not something you want to mess with and Kaela killing Zyx would have brought more trouble to Las and potentially get him killed due to killing an MI agent, even if she was off-duty.

I mean, it's not like Kaela knew she was MI. Hell, Las didn't even know she was in the sector because she decided to start spying on him as a prank. As far as Kaela knew this was an insurrectionist skulking about.

I don't think MI would actually raise a fuss about the death of one of their agents if said agent was both stupid enough to sneak into a protected facility for no reason while being incompetent enough to get caught.

Hell, after she makes her report, I'm expecting her to get chewed up by her superiors if not outright demoted. Her little stunt made it far harder to spy on Las in the future, after all, while Zyx didn't even manage to get any info Las didn't outright feed her.

If I remember correctly, moff is subsector and grandmoff is the whole sector, with several moffs under one. And it would be funny if he suddenly became a moff with a subsector under him (which would of course be managed much better by him than by previous moffs). It would also have the advantage that he would probably be higher in rank than mother.

Depends, would the lazy moff that stays in dubrillion, and does not report about his progress bother to report his competency up the chain, so he gets a promotion? I'm guessing no, unless substantial bribe.

Also, chances are any promotion to moff would give him stewardship of a completely new post and sector, not the Myto sector where his system is part off, so he would have to start from scratch, right?

Also, interestingly enough, the Myto area is part of the Imperial remnant well into the vong era, so he probably has a rather secure and relatively peaceful edge of the galaxy to weather the whole civil war, even less reason to accept a posting anywhere else.

Edit: well, If this is on the legends continuity, there is an attack by Rogue squadron and the rebellion at dubrillion by 3 ABY, destroying a prototipe superlaser...

If he actually get a chance to suggest a change, I feel like just removing the weird ball part of the TIE line would be a major step forward to lowering the weight. Next would be slapping laser cannons and a cockpit with engines to a tie fighter wing. (Seems like that would be the most obvious step forward.)

Do you know what would be funny? If the MC just have his R&D recreate the fury interceptor from 40k, sure in 40k the fury is incapable of significantly damaging the voidships but against star wars ship even 1-2 of them would have a good chance in destroying an ISD.

Chapter 14. Just finished. This was a really enjoyable read. I really like the main character. Just curious, does the mc believe the republic should come back? I know he is aware they will come back. Bringing back the corruption to higher heights than before. Is he interested in keeping the empire around? Or possible go for some other form after the rebellion start up.

I personally don't believe in the republic vision. If the empire could get rid of the sith at the top. I think it actually would be a better system than the republic. I also do not believe in the jedi vision. They might not be the stab happy people the sith are. However they will instead mind rape you for your own good. If you do not go along with there whims. After all they can never be wrong. Or imprison you because obviously your a problem they need to fix. Then will put in some other curropt lacky to fill your shoes.

Also if he likes the clones. Maybe he can look into getting his own cloning situation. The cold spark cloning system allows the clones to be born with technical knowledge while under. Possible set up so that the clones can have there own enclave and tech manuals. If he at some point in the future wants his own force users. With the creatures he been looking for as a anti force protection if he has those around his cloning facilities they wont come out mad or strange.
I dont know if you can stick someone already born into a clone encubator and shove the knowledge into there brain. If you could it would be a pretty cool life hack for technical competents for highly technical jobs that would normally take years of study. I know that was a problem for the empire that the big blue man got around by growing clones.

1. He doesnt have resources to do big moves, he is focused on improving basic infastructure of planet.
2. He is on timeline and getting cloning stuff is loong term project.
3. He is trying to stay away from big imperial politics. ( by being head of far away non important "village" in empire)
4. The empire will fall soon, so getting something powerful/important will make him big target in future "Shattering"

@Rustic I think he's only interested in surviving his mother and perhaps the fall of the empire. But I can see him going independent. Probably with the same system as he has now. The population can elect their mayors and so on, but he's at the top with absolute control. Cloning would be a project if he were an MOFF or higher (then he'd have the troops to defend himself).

The narrative seems to be going that way. Las success has already got him the attention of the Big Bad Blue man himself.

It would be funny that the moment that Mommy dearest arrives to ruin Las' day, Thrawn is already there and has recruited Las, with the blessing of Palpatine or Vader.
