  • Just a little question:

You have never think to made a Star VS The Forces Of Evil fanfiction? Maybe on with Mina Loveberry like protagonist?

    It's just...my curiosity XD

    P. S. Sorry for my English XD
Just wanted to stop by and comment here, since I have a general rule about interacting with forums, ie: don't. But I wanted to hopefully give a bit of positive feedback to counteract the teeming mass of whining bitches your story became. So I'll just say that like always I'll be looking forward to your next story, and thanks to you (and your beta) for the free entertainment.
Yo, Ideas-Guy. I wanna apologize on behalf of some of your readers. For those who this applies to, including me, shame on us. I'm sorry nobody spoke up for you while everybody was busy shitting on the KonoSuba Arc. I enjoyed it myself, and I'll keep an eye out for this kinda thing happening to authors
Is there a word quota you follow Ideas-Guy? Like per hour or per day? And how do you edit? And what is your schedule man? Like what time of the day you write?

I'm trying to write more, write often and write better, and figured why not ask the man who's been doing all of the three above. So what's the secret ingredient Ideas-Guy?

P.S - you're not James Patterson in disguise, are you?

For me, I try to get 5k words per day. It took me a while to work up to that point, though, so it would be better to start out at a more reasonable goal. See how many words you can write in a day, then try to aim a little higher until you can consistently hit that goal. Then move the goal post further.

The big secret is consistency. Give yourself a few hours a day and dedicate it to writing. Eventually, you'll form a habit and after that, the act of writing gets a lot easier. Try to keep to that time -- it helps with the creative process, and it prevents burnout.

Also, a bit of advice -- find a beta that's honest with you. No matter how good of a writer you are, you will make mistakes. A good beta can go back and forth with you to improve your work beyond just fixing grammar.

    Hopes this helps!
Sorry you have to deal with so much whining.
Dude, for the love of all things... Don't continue the Konosuba route on Power Corrupts! I'm cringing, breaking apart by reading it. The story had such a good roll onwards, but now I feel like you just made an Arc that is the same as most generic self-insert Konosuba stories. That is why I'm begging you, knowtowing on my knees, to reroll the world or reboot the Konosuba arc. I love your Power Corrupts story
Hey mate, what happened to the six chapter plan of the Desire arc? Was that thrown in a chute or something? Lo. Cause we still got two arcs to go g.
Hey ideas-guy, I've got a question, will Virgil eventually become super-human in body as well, I mean the cards are awesome and I love every scene with them, but DC is a big universe with lots of ways to improve, regardless I always enjoy your works and I can't wait for more
Dude, a big fan since the third chapter of Power Corrupts. Just wanna ask one think my man... How do you write so much? Share a few tips with this struggling rookie will you.

Anyways, keep up the good work brother. And stay safe.

It takes practice. No one starts out good -- for example, the first story I ever wrote was a Naruto fanfic. The kind that starts with Naruto being chased by a mob of villagers. And I would recommend using Google docs. I have yet to have any issues after I started using it.

Sadly, that's actually where I lost my first draft. The whole thing just reset. But I'll try to 'git good', as they say.

I suggest finding someone to have daily writing sessions with. It's what I've recently started doing, and now I produce about 2.5k words a week on average. It's not a massive amount, but it's definitely progress.
Ever thought about doing an crossover with Cole from Infamous as the MC with either reborn Cole after the good ending to Infamous 2 or someone like Vergil (insert) or V (in-universe Cole)? I could see Cole being an omega level mutant or above in Marvel and one of the first founding members of the X-Men, for instance.

Plus, outside of manipulation of electricity, ice and napalm, you could give him the ability to get smoke/neon and video=subset for electricity like smoke is for fire/concrete alongside fire manipulation with paper, glass, wire? and plant? being optional.
Hey ideas guy I don't know if this was intentional or not but bakuda calls v Vincent in a hard knock life is that a typo or?
Hello, Ideas guys. How are you? I really like your works. Especially Power Corrupts. Hestia for life!! Anyway, I want to invite you to Dark Wolf Shiro's Discord server. We mostly talk about different fandoms, discuss fanfics and such and indulge in a lot of degeneracy in general. I know you will feel right at home there.

For the new Worm/Cyberpunk story, are you basing the story entirely off of 2077's Night City, or are you using the tabletop version Cyberpunk Red? Just curious about the writing process.

I'm basing it off of the game. I'm currently reading through cyberpunk Red for background info, but the game is what I know best. And I figure that's also what people are going to know best.

The Red book will probably be a good resource for the nitty gritty of defining V's abilities, but there's also The World of Cyberpunk 2077, a which covering every barrio, every gang, every bigshot, and even the background history that makes Cyberpunk diverge from our world, if you are looking for an up to date supplement, since Red takes place in 2045.
So your having a burn out for the quest then Ideas-Guy

Sorry about the late reply -- I don't usually look at my home page. The quest was an experiment, and I'm ashamed to say that it failed, just not for the reasons I thought it might. Getting instant feedback for a chapter I just wrote was incredibly addicting. Because of that, I would ignore my three dedicated stories, and that's what I get paid for.
Yo, you alright? I was looking forward to one of your stories updating yesterday, and now I'm worried that you got hit by a car or something when none of them did. Edit: Don't wanna sound like I'm telling ya to hurry or anything, I take months for far smaller updates so I can't talk if you want to take your time. Just genuine worry here.

Yeah, all's good. The schedule resumes today with Power Corrupts. I just take a week off every two months or so because of the schedule I've given myself. Between three stories, at a minimum, I have to write 15k words a week. Usually around 20k because I try my hand at other stories for a few chapters to see how I'm feeling them.

So, I take breaks to avoid getting burnt out. Thanks for the concern, though!
Was Jeremiah (from See No Evil) satisfied to have died like any other gangster? When he found himself on the ground in that alley did he realize that Vergil was his better? Did he feel that he was a failure? Or was he just cursing Vergil without reflecting on how he mostly screwed himself?

The latter, definitely. Jeremiah can accept that he made some bad choices, but he considered Vergil to be the root of his problems. And he was right to, to a degree. When Jeremiah died, his last thoughts were more or less 'I should have shot him in the head.'

The preparation is why Vergil was his better I suppose. What would Jeremiah feel if his ghost was told that he was never meant to be anything more than a stepping stone for Vergil?

How about Jay from the BlackGators? How does he feel about the situation he found himself in as of the current chapter Polish?
Hey, if you could add the winning vote/plan to every quest update, that would be great.

Doesn't make a big difference early on when everything is simple, but it would be tremendously better than digging through pages of votes as the quest evolves.
