I more was referring to the comment three posts before the one you replied to here, which seemed to indicate either some kind of connection failure of the website, or some other kind of issue where people were absent or unresponsive.
For a bit the website wasn't responding at all, just got a bad gateway error.

I would draw up a outline of a plan and then call him as soon as possible. You don't want him to become impatient or curse you for not having some semblance of a idea, also calling him sooner will prevent it eating away at you.Might have, uh, fucked up a bit today. But it's probably my paranoia talking. I get like that sometimes.
Background: My current apartment rent contract was terminated and I need to move out before the end of September. The week before last I found a great apartment available for rent, not a corp/landlord agency/whatever thing but a private landlord. Except I don't have the money for the rental guarantee because all my savings went while waiting for the rehabilitation allowance to clear. I've reached out for info regarding possible income support stuff for rental guarantees but haven't gotten a response from the government yet. Grandma's house is being sold during the summer so that will give the money at least. Or I could maybe ask the uncle to loan it until I can pay him back from tax refunds in fall. Hell, since it's a private landlord I might even try to ask if I could pay it in multiple payments. So there's options.
But I'm worried it'll go from under me. So today I contacted the landlord by text since I was at school at the time, and asked about a possible visit to see the apartment next week or the one after. After that, was busy with school, then bus ride home, then doing housework. Then at 9pm I noticed I'd gotten a response text around 7pm.
"Call."
Which spooked the shit out of me since my mind basically always spins that kind of shit the worst way possible.
It's probably nothing, but it could also be a cranky retiree already annoyed at this antisocial fucker who can't even be bothered to call about shit as important as renting an apartment.
But also, I'm worried I contacted him too early and how he'll take the lack of a proper plan for paying the guarantee.
Urgh.
