There was a trend a couple decades back in the US in some of the more overtly devout Christian communities where, in response to the growing normalization of fornication, parents attempted to introduce additional rituals to help guide their children away from that and towards marriage. Tried looking it up, I apparently misremembered. While abuse is implied, it is never clearly stated. What is known, is that Sophia triggered because of her stepfather trying to "bond" with her.
Same, though there's also the option that it happens and doesn't change anything. Like, she gets the usual wormfic second trigger power upgrades, then gets back in the maid suit.
It raises the question, could Lisa end up so scared and squicked that loyalty to Coil would be preferable to getting sucked into Taylor's orbit?
They are the good guys, no amount of labeling changes their nature. The tension between what they are and what they're called is part of what makes their scenes work. Can you imagine how boring the Empire parts would be if the rank and file were the usual cardboard cutouts?
Being honest I would prefer if that was actually the case. There are stories on NSFW that aren't NSFW at all to the point one wonders why are there in the first place or why does the division even exist.
