Centuries from now they discover the lost gospels that reveal that God was already a femboy and impregnated Mary while Joseph fucked him in the ass. Also take into account that monogamy in Christianity came from the Roman side, it's entirely possible Joseph had other wives, he certainly was in the correct socioeconomic bracket for it, and polygamy wasn't outlawed in Judaism until the 11th Century.
