I can only assume this brilliant fic has been so overlooked because of the multicross tag. It's amazing and I love all of it.

Sirius got it by their accent. Let's pretend Strauss uses 'bloody' instead of 'fucking' because he thinks it's less crass for an elite neurosurgeaon.
I guess maybe most people don't look out of the NSFW section. I sometimes wonder if I should request it be moved there, since there's stuff like Beware of Chicken there that doesn't seem to be NSFW either (unless it has added smut I don't know about I guess).I can only assume this brilliant fic has been so overlooked because of the multicross tag. "-. Charles Gordon, Bright Falls, Washington USA .-"Doctor Flannhamr,
Sirius was fully resolved to go bug Harry into lowering another one of the hundred walls he'd raised after Sirius' despicable betrayal.
They moved the void spawn to the Chamber of Secrets and set it up with an automated food dispenser before finally parting.
"Unexpected guests," Hagrid 'whispered.' "They look like muggles."
Yes they did.
Just half of one actually. I began writing this after that movie came out, but before I watched it. And I didn't much like it either, if I'm honest, the first part was alright, the second part was cringe, the ending beat all karma houdinis. So like...
...I saw Everything, Everywhere all at Once yesterday - after the hype at the Oscars I thought it might be worth it...
I much prefer Everything, Everywhere - one thing at a time
Remarkable how close the title is given KA started writing this several years ago now...
I apologise if posting within six months of the last OP post counts as necroing a thread.Just half of one actually. I began writing this after that movie came out, but before I watched it. All other movies that came out of Hollywood in the past... many years have been crap. Nothing better to compare it to, low quality has dragged expectations in the gutter, that's all it is.Not quite sure what all the fuss is. Maybe the general public who are not sci fi fans were impressed?
Alas, I haven't updated my PC in ages, my gaming days are behind me, so I won't be able to play Legacy for the foreseeable future even if I had the craving. So it's supremely unlikely anything in that game will show up here.Well, given this is a Multicrossover, and there are dark objects and beings which feed on the life-force and/or emotions of others, I suppose there could be room for the elements from Hogwart's Legacy, particularly if the Protagonist from the story could potentially be made into one of the Big Bads of the fic, having consumed the psychic energies contained within the Repository under the castle, or is it's Keeper, having lived under the castle for over the century protecting the Repository from being plundered.
Though now I'm picturing this fic's version of Nicholas Flamel giving anyone a glare if they don't specify exactly WHAT kind of Ancient Magic that any "late bloomers" could naturally work without having gone through the mental/spiritual practices most probably would have to through.
FLAMEL: As ritual workings and shamanism/theurgy are obviously not a factor, was it a natural ability to tap into the multi-varied or selective ambient energies and forces of the supernal, the "late-blooming" being a side-effect..... or was it the other way around, beingbmore a result of unconscious internal cultivation? Specifically, did their strength steadily build up over time within, not unlike how one may charge a spell, expressing itself only when it reached a certain point when the wizard reached a specific age, granting them access to expressions of Magic most are unable to achieve in a lifetime without significant training and rites of initiation?
NIAMH: We were never sure what it IS, exactly. Truth be told, our main concern was in how this Magic should, and should not be used, and maintaining the Secrecy of it's existence, rather than investigating it's true nature. It doesn't even have a proper name, and we Keepers certainly never even gave it one.
FLAMEL: .....I'm burning your portrait.
Heretical as it may sound, at times I find watching walkthroughs with no commentary to be a more preferable and cheaper alternative to buying a game.Alas, I haven't updated my PC in ages, my gaming days are behind me, so I won't be able to play Legacy for the foreseeable future even if I had the craving. Not sure I'd do it even if I did play it, everything I've seen while avoiding spoilers has left me rather meh on the whole thing.
I do that too, but for this one I'm still keeping my options open.Heretical as it may sound, at times I find watching walkthroughs with no commentary to be a more preferable and cheaper alternative to buying a game.
Honestly, the potential of intelligence boosting surgery deserves exploration, and Charlie and Alice just deserved better, so why not give it to them if I can?
Wonder where Wit-Sharpening Potions could fit in compared to that particular brain surgery. Seems a pity they only get a mention in the books and aren't fully explored, same with cheering charms, both of which would have been something of help when putting up with Snape's classes.Honestly, the potential of intelligence boosting surgery deserves exploration, and Charlie and Alice just deserved better, so why not give it to them if I can?
This particular brain surgery also means one (big) fewer restrictions on the narrative role of all characters who get it.
Nah, I'm having them all be potion ingredients.Wonder where Wit-Sharpening Potions could fit in compared to that particular brain surgery. Hell, actual consciousness expanding nootropics could be a thing, (purified ectoplasm combined with "Essence of Ayahuasca", aka "DMT", anyone?), but are probably banned or heavily restricted under Wizarding Law for most countries, save a few that allow their use for religious/recreational purposes, or genuine psychonautic research.
Not to mention how Animagi can retain their minds while assuming their animal forms, even as something small like a rat or a beetle... .Wizards and witches already have expanded consciousness - that's why they can see and interact with magical creatures and beings while muggles can't even perceive them.
