    It feels like in Chinese stories characters will always leave their current lover/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband/etc. when their old "white moonlight" (I guess this is like a 'first love' and a 'crush' and 'unobtained object' combined or something?) appears.     Taking that logic to an extreme, the same can be said for a lot of things, for example a lottery means one person wins the prize, but that doesn't mean the winner "made" everyone else lose, random chance did, and Barry going back in time just rewinds everyone's potential actions, it doesn't erase it entirely.

    I hate it when you have the stories where the antagonist is shown on screen scheming or whatever and you just see the protagonist being completely oblivious, instead of counter scheming, it's like if you're in a fight and you know someone's gonna repeatedly punch you in the face and you kind of have to just stand there and take it

    Because Protagonists having plans to counter a villain's plans (and by that I mean "on-screen" plans not "We pulled this No U out of nowhere to win the day) means Villains might counter that plan, and so on and so forth, and many creators just want to have the Protagonist be reactive rather than go that deep into planning.

    I really dislike these "I'm a small time private farmer in the Pokemon world with a breeder shop" type stories, like because they make no sense when they try to make the MC unique, but on the other hand, they're so heart warming, you know, like hugging a happy fox in a pile of snow
