I think with Sai, he doesn't really have an identity outside of what Danzo wants so when he latches onto Naruto, Sai's entire personality will revolve around being what Naruto or Tsunade wants and it'll be an interesting dilemma in that Naruto wants to help him find things to love and enjoy, but everything Sai wants is because of Naruto.

It calls into question how real even is Sai's personality and if its just a facade to please other people and underneath is just a blank slate of desires and love.

One of the things I really like about Naruto is despite the core powers staying relatively similar every powerful ninja has their own unique style that's just similar enough to other ninja's to keep the power consistent. its a very difficult task that a lot of anime's don't get enough credit for doing good.

Jojo's bizarre adventure is another good example of that good balance between uniqueness and consistency across powers. And what I want to do is have different ninja's specializations mixed together to form a new one or have two ninja's learn different trick from each other, that I think would've been a stronger power of friendship than what we got.
