I'm going to need to figure out more for the families back story. I'll still leave it as a surprise twist for later, but the earlier I can start leaving clues for what really happen, the better the twist will be.

I like the idea of their being multiple walled cities, each acting as a sort of castle and hub for the demon lord that controls this land with the surrounding country side devolving into chaos and minor skirmishes as the borders around each major demon remain permanently nebulous and changing.

With the biggest city, Lucifer's capitol, being the safest and most peaceful area of hell, with the further away you get the more chaotic everything breaks down.

Lucifer would make heaven out of Hell for his pride and love of beauty, but there has got to be a dark aspect to him. In the old pilot, Lucifer's shadow has a horned monster form. I think the clown angel face we see? That is a surface of him, his fall turned him into something dark and fiery, and that side is what Hell fears

Important question this new information on Lucifer from the show has me thinking of.
Why does Hell suck.

The song I sent has him be all good dad accepting his daughter's noble ideals, but he's been running hell since the start of time. And it is a shit hole

He's hiding things from her or not giving his full self. How did he stay in power in Hell? All these overlords and sins, and since the start of time, there has only been Lucifer and Lilith.
This does not paint a rosey picture of a bloodless reign

My thinking on it is that he used to be a lot worse, but he's trying to get better, His biggest issue before is that he was so obsessed with heaven and his fall that he barely spent any time actually ruling in the beginning,

So despite having unlimited power, later when he start's trying to be a responsible king not only does he have no idea how a lot of the systems work, none of his underlings know how to work well with him since their used to being given free reign in their own domain.

He's basically used to constantly going to earth and causing trouble for heaven, and not actually staying in hell and ruling.

So it was Lilith really trying to run the show with Lucifer passing through a mental break down that hadn't ended since the Fall, and now he's wrangling overlords and trying to make a society out of Hell and keep up his wife's work

Basically, and I'm thinking less mental breakdown and more super long depression that he's only really recently found himself out of.

Its also a potential conflict with Lilith as he start stepping on her toe's by taking the reigns away.

I imagine it was a grief stuck on the rage and denial part of grief for ages, him obsessed with destroying and conquering heaven.

I'm still wondering what Litith's role in the relationship should be. I'm wondering if eve, who's still stuck in her, should be totally subsumed by Lilith, as through loving and accepting charlie both sides are finally able to come together in peace, or if Eve should be her own separate character who also gets to have some fun with the family.

Happy Lucifer is recent and is him trying to go back to his pre fall self as the Angel of music.

Show canon wise, Eve is her own thing and Lilith was before her.

Making them the same person would be interesting as Eve has cain and abel with Adam, but that is after the Fall

I'm thinking their two people sharing and fighting for the same body, but there also one person at the same time. Basically make it ambiguous with just how different they really are, with the two having similar desires and wants despite how much they deny it. Like two sisters that say they hate each other, but will do anything to protect the other when the chips are down.

And both are in a relationship with Lucifer and Charlie is their daughter.
But how Cain and Abel born than, and ah, now Charlie is their half sister.
