Satans kind of like a dog in that he physically can't lie about how he's feeling and he's the one who will connect with Vaggie the most, because for Satan, despite his rage, has a complete inability to judge someone for their past. he either likes them or hates them and he will shout it to your face.

My current take on god, which may or may not change, is that as much as he cares and loves all of his children he's in the unfortunate positions were he's almost not allowed too. Its the age old question of if god is real, why does he allow babies to die? And for god it comes to free will. He could fix everything in the world, but then people have no free will and are just mindless slaves for him to control.

He wants to help, but any help he gives has to be subtle or he risks changing the people he loves. All the power in the world, but no way of actually using it. He knew Lucifer would rebel. My exact thought. God makes Lucifer knowing his son is doomed but can't stop himself or he'd be eternally alone. He makes a family knowing it will implode.
