Lucifer's powerful, but even during his prime he could never fully take on all of heaven by himself. For the exterminators, while a war against hell would be stupidly destructive for everyone and probably end up destroy the earth in the process, doing the war now is for them the best of a bunch of shit options.

Because for them, hell is not only gaining more sinners than ever before, but entire species of powerful beings are being born in hell, and that's what the exterminator's are afraid of. That hell is creating a brand new army they can't beat. So in their eyes its better for the war to be fought now when they still have cards to play rather than later.

I do wonder if Charlie dies as the Princess of Hell, have they considered how being the Princess of Hell, and I think the arch angels would contemplate this.

But back to plot beats, Charlie is recovering and being trained by Lilith how to do poltiics better and ride the PR wave while being watched over by her dad and Vaggie who is starting to break and consider taking up training from Lucifer and Lilith in completing her Fall to replace her fading angel powers

The real comedic part about it all is that Charlie would genuinely love the idea of having a bunch of aunts and uncles, demon or angel, and that of the entire royal family she is the only want that doesn't want a war to break out. Even Lilith, for as cautious as she is, still eventually wants a war. She just thinks they need to wait and try to cause heaven to get more divided before they do it.

Tensions rise between Lilith and Lucifer over everything we've talked about, Charlies tries to interfere, try's to explain to them she doesn't want a war, and has a whole crisis of faith as she tries to figure out if heaven is good or evil.

Is Eve also pissed at heaven and do both her and Lilith think Earth is the rightful domain of them as queen of the world?
Thought, does Lilith consider Sinner demons some kind of transhuman state she wants to bring to humanity to achieve their destiny of mastering the universe?

And right when the family seems to be on the breaking point, they go to a masqueraded party with enchanted masks that hide their faces, to take a break from everything and try to ignore all the chaos that's happening.

Eve is in a weird spot were she hates Lilith, but understand her on a level no one else can, so is deeply empathetic to her despite their hatred towards each other, and even stranger is that Eve genuinely loves Charlies as a daughter and doesn't really know who to support in any of this.

Does Eve love Lucifer?
Does Eve love lucifer but fears Beal and Satan or a mix?

I don't want Lucifer to speak directly to them, he's too angry with what happened with his daughter for that to happen, but he'll be thinking about them with a mixture of angry, hurt, and fond memories and him finally speaking to them will be a big character moment for him.
