Tamas Awakening is a good mind control one. Taffy Tales is the Goat of these works. Nympho Tamer is chief's kiss hard core. Moniker Bloodlines would be superb with vampire sluts, horror tone, introspective POV, multiple Pov's to pick from but it has boring editing and weak prose tell instead of show writing.

With Naruto, I actually like how they handle ninja's. A little controversial for sure, but I like how they started out normal ninja's focusing on stealth and assassinations, but then the introduction of chakra basically turned them into Saiyans. And yet that background and ideal's of the ninja are still carried forward despite how much different their new powers made it.

It's actually some really good and really subtle world building.

I think Naruto had a really interesting world and one of the best magic systems in fiction in terms of power scaling and they threw all that out the window along with the subtly and the moral complexity of the earlier chapters, chasing that shonen money.

One of my favorite moments of Naruto is almost in the very beginning during the wave arc where they are fighting Zabuza for the first time. Its just Naruto and Sasuke, clearly out matched and getting their ass kicked, and they do this trick where they have one of Naruto's close shapeshift into a shuriken and hide within a swarm of them Sasuke made, to get a punch on Zabuza .

The scene's perfect. You get dread as you think how the hell are they going to get out of this, then triumphant as the trick is revealed and their now very angry sensei is released. You see the two brotherly bond slowly forming together. But more than that what makes it perfect is the magic system.

We've seen clones. We seen shuriken's get cloned. And we've seen clones shapeshift into different objects. All the build blocks were their and yet it was still a shock to see. That's when magic systems work the best. When you have clear defined rules and seeing the characters get clever with them is so satisfying.
