Questionable Questing

I'm thinking with the samurai its a bit of a balancing act. They kind of keep the ninja on a leash and prevent them from doing anything too stupid. Which in turn the Ninja do the same thing for the samurai. the shogun or emperor keeps these two factions around despite the issue's they cause at times to keep each other from getting too powerful.

Do Samurai owe land while Ninjas have closer relations to merchants?

Plus I'm thinking the ninja villages have a lot of autonomy in their dealings that was negotiated in when they first were created. I'm thinking the Naruto world is still pretty feudal in it's dealing but the long peaces they've had is slowly causing everything to get more centralized and is causing changes to the politics.

Ya know, I'm surprised no one has ever made what if Naruto but europe AU with a viking or europe faction finding naruto world and having chakra but western

I always thought it would be pretty cool if you had a crusading knight except with magic powers from chakra ending up in Naruto and seeing the two different cultures and idea's bounce against each other.

No one wants big wars as Samurai are weapons of mass destruction and Shinobi are hyper lethal super soldiers

I'd avoid wizards for a europe faction and lean into chakra martial culure but knight or pagan warlord

The big question is how do Chakra knights work? Can't do hand seals, prayers and invoations?

Basically. And the Ninja have their village and the samurai their land to keep them occupied with not killing each other. The only issue now is that the younger generations are becoming more loyal to the villages than their clans, and the younger samurai are becoming more loyal to their nations than to their bloodlines. Its an interesting problem where the younger generations are more jingoistic and nationalist.

I never sat around and really thought about what i wanted to do with the whole chakra knights, but I definitely want singing to be involved somehow. Despite what a lot of movies and tv shows will tell you, GRR Martin is a hack sometimes, the medieval times was actually very colorful with nobles and even peasants paying a lot of money to dress in red and blue colored clothes and they love music.

On the one hand, you have far less intenral clan wars between shinobi, on the other as villiage culture becomes stronger, they want to conquer for the villiage and grow its power. And you have noble Samurai families unifying over country, countries containing village city states who aren't nationalists of their type and consider the village thier homeland and loyalty

Whole bands of musicians could travel around and make a fortune playing for various towns. And every tiny village loved going to church because they were one of the wealthier ares of town that could afford musical instruments.

The situation of Shinobi and Samurai is two nationalist movements with opposing ideas of identity that must clash and Naruto's clan is caught in this

The Samurai want the villages to submit while the rising ninja masters take pride in autonomy from greater authority. The villages serve personal interests only and are mercs. Not loyal soliders

I wanted to do a Naruto SI at one point, a lot of the idea's and concepts ended up getting recycled and reused in my current Naruto project, and in it the MC would be able to sing all the songs from earth perfectly as he remembered them by using genjutsu's, with the MC slowly learning the monstrously powerful potential it had for combat.

With it being a major character moment for him since these old songs were some of the few memories he still clearly had from earth and he didn't want to corrupt them by using them as a weapon.

It's a situation where Shinobi will be slaughtered by skilled and mighty Samurai but firebrand Samurai will battle a deadly elite Shinobi and get massacred for thinking Ninjq are weaker than Samurai arts
