I don't think Vicky's powers helped, but I do think Amy was kind of fucked up from the beginning. You combine that with the whole fucked up mess that was the Dallon family, and the stress of healing cancer patients, people missing limbs and spilling literal guts along with blood everywhere before she could even drive a car did the rest.
