Questionable Questing

Shogun's the highest level, and I woud say if you put him in early dragon ball he would be a side character and if you put him in naruto he would be a special Jonin. So pretty supidly powerful if you really think about it, but not world ending. I want the setting to be a little more grounded.

You can do a lot of crazy hype vibes with only building breaking and city block destroying

The Shogun's feats are stuff like training with his sword by cutting fast enough to keep water from touching him in the rain, or fighting against a much larger army with super powered chi warriors for several days without stopping once and suffering numerous wounds and still winning.

So really powerful but not unstoppable and for the other hard hitters they are a little bit weaker than the shogun except for their own unique specialties like stealth or elemental attacks

One is a martial arts student who was raised by his master to kill all the former older disciples who betrayed his master but finds they are all dead and becomes a noodle shop boy except plot twists and the other the son of a gloriously noble sect leader who was betrayed by his brothers in arms. His father was part of a Sect that was a Night Watch against a foreign demon army who we later learn has more to them

Our protag through the events of the prologue finds the ancient sect arts the traitors could never get even though they searched and he swears revenge on them and starts to become a powerful figure in Murim while growing to learn more of the world and himself. it is fucking baller.

Nice. i don't read it too often but a classic Xianan can be a lot of fun. Its too bad too many of them are number going up or edgy shitheel simulator.

It is Wushu and not that cursed hell genre Xianan. Cultivation has fun ideas but wow do the main novels suck in translation and often times story

And with Culitvation i tend to give it a little bit of a pass along with Korean web novels, because for a lot of the writers they are working some insane hours and literatly killing themselves pumping out these shitty series, hoping and praying they'll make it big. With how cruel and broken their industries are set up, they make the Anime sweat shops like Trigger look nice.
