When magic first came, the slave masters of Lys rejoiced. They were quick to discover the potency of carnal erotics when mixed with sorcery. They conspired to rule as beautifully worshipped enchanters and summoners.

Sealed old Gods from the age of Valryia were imprisoned in magical circles and tormented with pleasure and pain, their forms and minds reshaped. The summoning and binding of Djin became a noble past time as goddesses went from the enslavement of the Dragon Lords to service in the Brothels and pleasure palaces of Lys.

Pleased with their ascendant power, the whore masters of Lys expanded the depth of their games. Children were taken and raised as Invested pleasure slaves, trained to work as faithful servants. The armies and heroes of Lys blossomed and carelessly the sorcerer princes and mistresses of Lys bestowed enchanted collars and erotic outfits.

It seemed they had established a unbreakable tyrany.

Until they began to die. Twisted by invisible forces. Fallen ill to miserable plagues or torn apart by the familars they chained. Horror spread through the city. What could be the cause? Not every magical slave master suffered this fate. What was the reason?

The truth revealed the doom of what Lys had been. They thought they'd been learning how to compell obedience. In reality the city of Whores had been awash in the magic of love and lust, connection and relationships.



For every command, binding, suggestion, and alteration or enchanted enhancement done, a convnenat was sealed.

The sorcerers and sorceresses who embraced their new responsibilities and changes to their self prospered, while the unfaithful died. The old school slave masters attempted to reverse what had begun but a civil war broke out and now Lys is the City of Masters and Slaves

And how work been? Avoid titnitus?

Works been long. Today's been kind of rough to be honest. But no Tinnitus thankfully, but a lot of paperwork. Had to file an incident report about it. But how have you been?

Not bad. Had ideas above for ya including thoughts on Lys. The players want to visit there and me and Jackal have been screaming internally about how generic it is

I've never seen Bastard, but the world building with Lys seems really cool. I really like how uncontrollable magic is and how their downfall came from trying to control something that's uncontrollable, that's actually a very common theme with George's books. It fits very nicely in the quest/story your working on.

But if your looking to piece up Lys's world building, a culture of lawyering sounds fun. If the curse and plague on the city was created by not following through on their obligations, then to prevent that doom from ever happening again the people of Lys would be obsessed with contracts.

Not just in a work place setting, but for example if someone gives you a gift for a holiday you have to give something of equal value, or if you take someone out to lunch then next time you have to pay. Make them really rude and insistent about paying back debts, make them desperate in paying back any perceived object even if its a selfless act or a gift.

Lys I wanted warped dark evil porn but I'm also a softey. And watch Bastard on Netflex. He raised a half dark elf as his adopted daughter and when she was starting to become hot as a teenager seduced her and made her his lover and daddy's girl. It's so fucked up. The power of the 90's.

Really show the trauma that event had on people even if they cover it up with constant sex and role play. Which speaking off Lys has a very healthy history of plays and shows and even before magic those could get a little raunchy, if the queen is not invited to a long role play session of her choice with an entire troupe of actors than your not doing your job as dm. lol.

Neat and I was thinking the Binders have to be careful who they make love them or offer love to as for them bonds grow stronger and tie them to their slave servants

Well then if that's the case whenever someone's having casual sex, it should be taboo to reveal your name or anything personal since if you starts to let emotions and other intimate things get involved then you have a bond being formed.

Maybe take it a step further and make it to where everyone wears masks and refuses to expose their face unless its with someone they trust. Could also be an evolution from when people covered their faces thinking this was a normal plague.
