Zod feeling desperate, led a military revolution which he lost and he and his followers where banished into the phantom zone. Jor-El being tarnished for his former relation with Zod, meant that he couldn't get funding or political support for his project and was only able to rescue his son.

Now at this point your probably wondering, if this was hundred of years ago why did it take so long for superman to be born? Well Jor-El didn't find earth. But what he did create was a special computer guided prob that would search the whole damn galaxy to find the perfect planet for his son to be raised, along with a box containing the genetic samples of Krypton to eventually rebuild it.

But while Superman was still a baby, cryogenically frozen in time as his ship looked for Earth, Viltrum was getting busy. But before I talk about that, what about Braniac, the hidden puppet ruler over Krypton for all these years. Well the super intelligent AI screwed up. He did genuinely care about Krypton and its people, he of course just prioritized his own survival above all else.

And in his mind once he took over, he made everything better. He was unemotional, uncompromising, could learn and grow faster than anything else in whole galaxy. He was the perfect leader. Except he wasn't. He did the math wrong and he didn't think Jor-El or Zod was telling the truth. he screwed up and now his home-world was dead.

And in trying to deal with grief and refusal to admit he was wrong, he's become obsessed with capturing every world in these special containment bubbles where they will never be destroyed and he can freely study and control them forever. Every world except Viltrum, since to Brainiac its a poor imitation of his former home world and one of the few thing's he genuinely hates.

And goddamn man, taking a break from this multi chain level of exposition. Holy cow I wish I had more than a couple lines to type all this out. What do you think so far? And yes Zod is going to be a reoccurring character that'll shift around between villain and mentor for Mark, as while Superman will represent the positives of Krypton, Zod will be the negatives.

Back to Viltrum, after Krypton's explosion. They go on a conquering spree, fighting the green lanterns and various alien empires. Losing and winning here and there, but always being held back by their population as their constant search for genetic perfection and willingness to cull large portions of their own population for the crime of being weak, counterbalanced their impossible strength.

This is why I will be reviewing the chapters and most especially the porn so Mark treats his harem as sows and bimbo trophy wives.

Its around this time they developed the complicated slave systems and combing that with the native monarchy they had, based around the decedents of the original General named Viltrum, created clans of Viltrum's and their slave harems that could rule different planets. Again letting Viltrum fight and conquer and letting the slaves do the ruling of the empire in a kind of funny twist.

So high slaves are royalty and would have a elite title as pets of the clans.
And so Nolan here is trying to fight that mentality of wanting slaves which is encoded in his DNA while impressionable horny teeenager lookiing for power and validation Mark is shaped by those desires

And this turns later into a battle between Mark and Nolan over the Justice League ruling earth as part of a new arisen Viltrum empire

Then the Lanterns, increasingly desperate release the plague. Viltrum is devastated and has to surrender, deciding on intrigue as the way forward as they rebuild their population and in the mean time an ambitious Freddy Mercury look alike assassinated the former king and took charge as regent with the king's baby son disappearing.

Since the former king was talking about reform and about the potential of making the slaves into fully fledged Viltrumite's, which to Thragg who believes religiously in the superiority of Viltrum blood was paramount to Heresy. And is currently in the process of dismantling the former clan systems and devastating the empire further as being a good warrior doesn't mean your good with taxes.

This causes Viltrum to lose many more planets to internal rebellions and Thragg is increasingly only able to hold onto power through being monstrously strong and a cult of personality he's formed with many of the emotionally devastated Viltrum's, who want revenge above all else.

The problem of super genetic enginering is if you make a race of ultra horny violent to the bone warriors, they will be shite at paperwork and adminstration

Yep, being a extra Horny Saiyan probably isn't very conductive to leading a interstellar empire. lol. And speaking of Thragg's mother. Her being able to birth fully blooded Viltrum's is a miracle and would've saved them long before they met the human's. But of course Thragg had her killed year's before the plague happened because he didn't want people knowing his background.
