Questionable Questing

Set those standards is right.
Want to hear me talk Hurik?

Basically, girls are the ones who start the relationship and men are the ones who finish it, by either marrying them or breaking up with them. Or in other words don't feel bad that's it taking you a while to get started. This is the hard part. This is the one that men struggle with. This is the part where women have the most control and power in a relationship.
Andy333
Andy333
And I would love to hear about Hurik. I'm still curious if there's going to be any new game play mechanic's being changed for this one since your pushing for a specific kingdom builder instead of all of Westeros.

We liked Blue River but there were issues. People wouldn't vote for particular pervy laws like Jackcal wanted and I found the setting stifiling. Urban boring. Here, I'd like witcher style monster hunting, having to bind or bargain or take the oaths of Old God spirits and work with the new fantasy politics that have been growing in the world of Frozen Dreams.

Using religion and noble hall parties for corrupting families and bannermen and women with depraved rituals and twisting of basic logic through dream shaping mind control would be fun.

You could combine the witcher style grand adventure with almost a reputation system, where you have these different factions with varying amounts of control and ability, that you have to balance against each other if you want to get laws passed. With each deal and contract you make, conversely make it harder to keep that balance and make future deals.

Jackal is going to be reading this conversation and if not I am posting this shit to him. One of the strongest elements I really like about Frozen Dreams is how monsters are part of the economy and social ecosystem. From the Fae in the Reach to the Trolls and Hag Covens in the North. Their part of the larger system. They aren't just kill shit get loot
Andy333
Andy333
If a forest spirit for example makes a contract not to cut down a certain forest in return for them blessing some farm land or providing some kind of service, this could potentially interfere in future plans to expand a nearby town, potential business deals with a noble who wants to build a saw mill, or even piss off neighboring spirits who wonder why she got such a good deal.
Andy333
Andy333
Basically it's a clear mechanical way for the readers to understand not just the importance of these deals, but force them to make some tough choices in which groups they support. plus it gives some nice opportunities for smut. Support the clothing hating tree spirits? The bimbo potions masters from the alchemy guilds? Lots of fun stuff.

Now that is the good shit. I'd also be into the idea of cow girls. Jackal isn't for furry, but I love me a few things. Girls beating the fuck out of each other in sexualized violence and big lactating moaning big titty milking

I saw over on Fiction Live. Forget what it was called, but basically the MC was directly connected to the kingdom through a magic ritual. So the stronger the nations military, the taller and more physically strong she became. The more food they had, the fatter the MC's curves would become. I don't think Hurrik needs to be directly connected like that but it could be cool to see some kind of connection.

Fisherking is a element of Frozen Dreams with powerful mages like Olena or Stannis having a direct connection to the land and effecting it. What else was in this Quest?
Andy333
Andy333
I don't know the overarching plots lines or factions you have planned, but maybe aligning with certain ones will cause certain physical changes in Hurrik and his newfound people. Like the children of the forest for example slowly giving earth magic, but also slowly turning him into an elf or something like that.
Andy333
Andy333
Like I don't think you should take it to the extremes of like you did with Tywin, but maybe depending on the type of Magic Hurrik specializes in will kind of shift the environment and the style or culture of towns in that direction a little.

Magic schools as sources of sorcery lore causing changes in groups and land would be good. Hurik has the Dragon and Wolf advisor that I want to have in a way where the players can't fucking mini max one and ignore the other. Switching between them as they grapple with choices
Andy333
Andy333
The secret to preventing midmaxing is instead of giving a plain good or bad choice, give them two good options but force them to pick one over the other. Basically make them compromise for the thing they want.

I want them to keep switching between the routes power ups and fighting over which one to do choice by choice

Well other than balancing the factions along with those contracts having requirements or restrictions on what they can do, another so-called balancing thing you could dpo to keep them guessing and playing around with different paths, is make it to where some of these different monsters they fight with the whole witcher system you were talking about, have different weaknesses.
Andy333
Andy333
So make it to where before each fight, you'll have a scout or investigation phase where Hurrik will talk to villagers and various faction members, look around at various clues, to try and find out the monster and its type along with what kind of magic or items its weak too. That's how the Witcher books and a lot of the better missions in the game were set up.

I'm not big on playing up magic weakness but Jackal loves investigation and big thinky stuff. Cowigrl farming is something I really want to add. No furry, Wildling pet girl slave training and breeding with branding and collaring. As Hurik uses wildlings as his starting stock for his vassals
