My idea with the whole communion bread thing is that by taking a piece of the darkness inside you, you're also putting a piece of yourself into the darkness to replace what you took out. Basically the god and the human both share the same blood now and they also share memories and experiences through this, thus the more you take the closer you become to the heart.

What are the magic super heroes using in contrast?

So part of a person is devoured and reborn by the darkness when they perform the sacrament with it

I don't really know what to do with magic super heroes to be honest. But the while reborn in darkness thing, the idea is that its corrupting but what if you take that literally with someone's entire body and soul slowly getting absorbed and integrated into the dark god.

Turned into a child of that God.

Waiting for this new girl to reply to message sent this morning. She's been responsive some days this week at 8 or 10 and yesterday a bit of 11 and 1 in the morning we had a conversation through text. It's bloody nerve wracking

What I'm thinking is the mob shows up, beats him up a little explains that his dad took a loan and he needs to pay it back. At first Jason tries working a double shift at his job, even considering using his college loans to cover a part of it, but his mom practically begs and explains she would rather prostitute herself then let Jason throw his life away like that.

Now how does he prove himself a heroic protag?

The mob keeps showing up, keeps threatening him even showing up at his sister's school a couple time, as unknowingly to jason they are getting a little desperate since they realized the dad skipped town and it'll be a personal loss of face for them getting cheated like that.

So at the end of his rope Jaso learns about the only fan his mom made randomly taking off after a clip went viral and seeing how much money she could potentially make. And between the two of them they decide this business is better than risking their sister or Jason getting hurt, and since it's all on the internet and the mom's face can get edited out it's one of the safest methods to make a shitload of money.
