Nice. I really like the prologue from the point of view of the Maester's.

And can I just add for a second that the word Maester's is super annoying. Autocorrect keeps wanting to fix it to master and it's just one of several words and names George choice that has very little meaning and loves tripping up my autocorrect.

What you like about it?

I think it's a little early to say. Right now it's a lot of prep work and setting everything up for the real meat and potatoes, but for example the Maester bitching about Blackwood is masterful use of a biased source naturally leaking in. Really good stuff.
