Questionable Questing

Yeah, my issue is that the old way fucking sucked. lol. I mean seriously, everyone was torturing, genociding, and brainwashing kids and nobody was batting an eye even as the wars and techniques kept getting worse and worse. I mean shit, ignoring Naruto ever being born. Ignoring the Akatsuki ever rising up. At the rate everyone was flinging around techniques and abilities.

Sooner or later, someone was going to crack the code for a nuke. Maybe not a literal one, but someone somewhere was going to discover some kind of stupidly powerful weapon or technique and they weren't going to have the restraint necessary not to use it. I mean shit, look at Minato. He killed so many people the enemy Hokage commanded his soldiers to run if they saw him.

Someone would find the nuke, they would spam it and their country would be the king of ashes. Or more likely the other enemy nations would reverse engineer it and then spam it even more leaving the whole Ninja world a wasteland. Basically no matter what happened, the Ninja world had to change. They literally couldn't survive with the path they were going down. It was escalating too fast.

Boruto doesn't grow up in that era. He's in a international time of peace that has his family be a prime target. To him, peace is letting what you love get hurt.

Let's look at some problems of post old way world. Where do all the mercs and warriors go? Gangs? What about the powerplays over international trade? Peace between nations doesn't mean a end to state or private violence.

Oh I totally agree and I do think there's a good story somewhere about Boruto and other kids his generation worshiping a system that seems cool from the nostalgic stories their told, while having zero clue on just how violent and sick it actually was.

But again that leads to the big issues I have. If Boruto starts acting like a violent asshole and hurting all the people that's targeting his family. Yeah it'll be satisfying, but it'll just make his family an even bigger target and he won't even totally feel safe. Basically I want his character to be deeper than just another random violent asshole. Naruto already has tons of characters like that.

I mean say he does surpass his father and be the new king. What then? Does he just violently kill anyone who doesn't kiss his ass? What happens when he gets older and weaker? What about fighting enemies that hide and strike his weak points? Does he want his kid to grow up in a world where strength is the only thing that matters? What happens when he loses or he gets his thrown challenged?

True. Main thing here is want a smutty dark dominating Boruto but to build a story around that. A key issue could be that Boruto inherited the chakra of the nine tails and so is by nature a beast. How does a beast live in a world of peace?

Got it. I'm thinking with this idea we can have Boruto be for his father's peace but do so in such a way he wants to be a shinobi. Which is against his father's desire for civilan chakra use and add in old tradition of a clan member scion getting his mom and sister as brides if he proves himself worthy for lore on that

Pretty quiet actually. I was kind of worried it would be a mad house this close to christmas, but it wasn't too bad. Bought some stuff I needed to make a roast for Wednesday. But am planning on doing the actual Christmas dinner on Saturday at black Angus, a pretty good steak place nearby.

Living at my Nana's house and going to have cinnmon buns in morning with orange juice and ham for dinner cooked by her. Get my siblings gifts later after Christmas as I waited too long but they don't care.

I don't mind. We can talk about whatever. I've been recently checking out Fear and Hunger though, but the lore for that game is surprisingly dense.

Sexy but in all the bad not fun ways. Let's see. Boruto. So going by your idea he likes his dad's peace but he isn't his dad. He unlike his dad doesn't do talk no jutsu. He fucking kills people. Boruto thinks the sword is a instrument of peace. A vital one, and this gets more strong as his story goes on.
