Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

While Road Work was about a guy who in the middle of dealing with the death of his son and the breaking down of his marriage, his house gets scheduled for eminent domain as a brand new highway was going to cut straight through his neighborhood. With the combination of all that causes him to basically have a mental breakdown.
And in-between watching his personal life fall apart, you watch him plan a big shoot out with the police. where he plans to kill himself. Really dark, sad, and terribly relatable. Again I had trouble finishing it. But with the Good Wife, yeah he's a great husband and father. In fact he quickly figures out his wife knows and offers to turn himself in if she wanted too.
He also manipulates her a little, by reminding her that if the world does find out what he did, then she will be hounded by the media for the rest of her life and that people will forever suspect she was involved because how do you marry someone and not know. But he's subtle enough about it that at least on the surface he seems like he genuinely cares.
Yep he offered it, she turns him down at first. Content with living a lie that they're still a normal couple. But I'm still reading it so I'm waiting to see if she changes her mind or if he was seriously offering it.
Would love too, but since we're talking about Stephen King and Danny Phantom, an idea I had a while back, long time ago actually, was when I noticed that the kid from the Shining, Danny Torrence, and Danny Fenton both have the same name. With taking an older, scarred, and tired Danny Torrence who will act as a bit of mentor figure to Danny once he notices the kid has powers.
With Torrence, not only dealing with his tragic backstory in the process, but he also helps introduce a lot of the darker elements and ideas from Stephen Kings works into Danny Phantom. While for Danny, he's a trusted adult figure who not only understands a lot of what he's going through.
But can also help out in the background in a lot of ways since he's a counselor, he can vouch for some of Danny's disappearances by saying he's helping or can get inside certain buildings a kid couldn't. He can get other adults to treat certain disasters seriously. Plus Torrence is a lot more socially slick than Danny, with his supernatural empathy. Not to mention Shining's magic can be fun to explore.
But sure of course. Sorry I just wanted an excuse to say that idea. It's been stuck in my head for awhile. I might just type it out on the Danny Phantom thread and see what people think.
Except a pale foreign boy's gang has grabbed a deer friend of his and are going to gangbang break her mind. Powerless to do anything, bleeding and fighting. The hopeful knight doesn't ascend. He descends and instead of slowly becoming Exalted, is Arisen with a inner demon.
Cut to years later. The boy now a mam is a chained servant. One of the demonic Arisen sworn to the overview of Exalted. He's been trying for years to remove his inner demon but it hasn't stuck. He had made friends and is ready for his first assignment. His childhood friend will be their knightly overseer. He's happy.
The pale foreigner is also assigned and the Red devil caged in our failed knight rattles its cage
So is this a situation where the inner failed knight knows who the pale boy is, but the man doesn't. So it becomes a bit of a game as the closer and closer the man comes to finding out the truth of who this pale man really is and what exactly happened that day, he's also getting closer to unleashing his inner monster and forever damning himself?
Oh the man knows but the pale guy is useful and has been placed under the command of the Exalted knight girl.
The failed knight is the level headed one running herd on the eccentric urges and personalities expressed by the Demons of his fellow Arisen. Except they in turn treat him like a volcano. He fights his Demon.Keeping it locked up. That makes it very wild when it breaks out which it has before
