The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
I know there's basically no chance for any new content, but I was looking through old threads, and came across your snippets thread. I really liked Kushina!Taylor in BB. It had just the right combo of flippant and competent to prevent her from being either LOL Randumb or LogicBot Solves...
Just now had five on the alerts badge, but only four actual alerts. My clock isn't desynced from the actual time, and the page is fresh. I could understand if I had left the page open for a couple days, but on a newish page it makes less sense. I saw the alert count go from one when I opened...
The badge on the alert icon shows a number one less than the total number of starred alerts. If I have 2 new alerts, it shows 1; if 12 new, 11.
I'm not sure why this is, it's not that one of the alerts just came in, both are about 5 mins old.
EDIT: I should clarify slightly, it happens ~60%...
Any thoughts on a Color History option? Usually when changing colors it's likely that you'll be switching back and forth between 2-4 different colors, including Auto. It would be handy to have something like 5 previous colors as their own buttons, so switching back and forth would be quick and...
There may be a benefit to putting up a global message about the alert options. There are two threads (and some posts here) from people not knowing about the options.
Go to 'Preferences' > 'Alerts' > 'Alert Preferences' (roughly where Watch/Ignore are) > 'Generate new alerts without reading threads' > Make sure it isn't checked.
Could Spoiler buttons be a different color as well? Picture threads and demi-picture threads (Fic and Pic threads) suffer for having the same color as the Report button. Previous styling had them as white/light grey, which may be too far. Maybe given an accent color fill?
I haven't read through the thread, so forgive me if it's been mentioned already. The biggest issue I have at the moment is that the Watched, Poll, and Pinned icons are wireframe. I associate the wireframe with the equivalent of 'deselected'. Is there a possibility of 'filled in' thread...
If most users post their reasoning, the mods will have to parse through the posts and compile them. Say 20% of the userbase votes, that's around 800 voters. If very few people post, it'll skew the apparent thoughts of the userbase. Like if most of the posts are BAN but most of the votes are...
It's also reduced by whatever proportion of users even look at the Rules and Announcements forum. If there's enough traction and the mods/admins were up for it, maybe make a global announcement about a poll. Instead of just Yes/No/Whatever, add in options for the reason a user supports or...
I'm sure someone could program an option that allows you to block posts based on their content and/or post size. It'd probably be pretty darn hard, and there's no reason to do it until we get Xen2.
I'm tired of the spam, but I hate presuming that an occasional spammer has absolutely nothing...
I personally don't think much of the 410 for defense/offense. Sure it can kill, but the loads are really small. Maybe I'm underselling it, but I don't think it's of much use compared to their other options, especially with the reduced barrel lengths they'd need. But they couldn't use single...
My thoughts on midget guns.
In my experience .22lr has essentially no recoil, and is still capable of killing a human with a headshot, but the thing is that there's no practical benefit to having more than 8" of barrel on them, and you can probably get away with only 5". The cartridge gains 0...
It's probably of no practical use, but it would be interesting to see a user's likes given alongside their likes received and post count. Some members are... generous in their liking of posts, and I'd like to know how many they give out.
So here's the thing. If 'first'ing is allowed on QQ, then there will be a group of posters who will have a strong tendency towards spamming new threads and update posts with attempts to be 'First'. If it's not allowed, stopping it early is preferable to trying to stop it once it's gained...
I'll second this, and also bring back the 'TFTC' and 'Thanks for the chapter' post complaint. I'm seeing 1-3 of them on a lot of fics, and it makes reading the comments undesirable.
That kind of key hole is for a skeleton key, where the teeth are attached to the bottom of a rod. With the guy under the keyhole, the teeth fit between him and the hole, with the rod on his head. Flipping the guy upside down would block the rod from entering the keyhole, rendering it unusable...
I showed this to my Chinese coworker, he laughed and said it's probably taken on a national holiday, where they remove the tolls from the road. Usually it takes enough time to get through the toll that four lanes could handle the traffic.
