I think I'm tired of all the goddamn Mandalorians.
They're an entire culture of bland, one-note superheroes who can do no wrong and who are always better at everything than anyone else, morally or otherwise, composed of a people who live their lives earnestly according to Starship Troopers (with extra surface-level Maori flavor).
Yes, so bland and one-note that one of their best, Jango Fett, was used as a the Template for the Clone army whose purpose was to a: be great fighters and b: kil the Jedi during Order 66.
But hey, if you don't enjoy Mandalorians, rejoice as bar Bo, they'll not reappear for the next few arcs at least. Well, not beyond background mentions here and there of what's going on in their latest civil war.
I'm also having trouble buying that the council would just leave Cam hanging out to dry, if for no other reason that the potential power he has and worrying it could be turned to evil.
There is precedent for this. They believed Obi-Wan was dead during the CW, when he'd actually been captured by Ventress, and didn't even bother checking.
Then there's something that happened to Vos and Aayla about 2 years after Naboo.
Both are from the comics, and parts of the EU. There are also, likely other instances where they've made such choices.
But it is sth Cam will have problems with, both as he recovers and when he eventually returns to Coruscant.
I don't necessarily think that's wrong or anything, but you can hardly complain about people thinking stuff is sexual when the author is deliberately making it like that
Gar and Rook are teens in a relationship who enjoy sex in their downtime. Hardly a surprise that their thoughts often turn to that when around each other. (and, if the examples you left are the only ones in the chapter, then it's just those two characters).
You may want to include some sort of logic to explain that in the next chapter.... maybe they wasted most of their best cultists on the trap or something?

Kidriff was a trap, so Vosa sent her better warriors there. THe trap worked and Cam was captured.
On the BG base, most of those better fighters were gone, and when Dooku and Vos assaulted the base, the remaining ones went to engage them. What Vosa did will be touched on in the next chapter.
So you'd prefer I simply said "cam was captured and tortured for 2 months" but when he's dealing with the after effects, you don't know what was done to him?
and for the record, there was a debate about taking the torture further. I wasn't comfortable with it even though those helping felt it might work better to show more of what Cam endured.
She outright stated he would slaughter everyone if he got out.
He's freshly captured and just moved down some of her best fighters. Of course the regular grunts in the base would be canon fodder for a pissed-off Cam. (which may be a hint for the first bit of the next chapter

)
