K: Right, time to set some expectations. I'm writing this as a personal project without the rest of the system chipping in much. I'm going to update whenever I damn well feel like it, and the quest will keep going for as long as I find it enjoyable. That means keep the high-stress arguments to a minimum please. With that out of the way, let's get on with the show!

Introduction Phase 1: Who are you?
This is a Line-Item Vote. All components are decided independently of each other.

Though you might not know the word humans use, the fact of the matter is that you're a Pokemon. You inherently wield some level of supernatural power, even if you're ostensibly normal type. That said, what else is there to know about you?

Are you a boy Pokemon, or a girl Pokemon?
[] BOY
[] GIRL (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)
[] EXCUSE ME, GOOD MAAM! HOW DARE YOU!?

What region do you hail from?
[] Kanto
[] Johto
[] Sinnoh
[] Hoenn (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)
[] Unova
[] Kalos
[] Alola
[] Galar

What Type? (Pick ONLY one, yes I know dual-types exist.)
[] Bug
[] Dark
[] Dragon
[] Electric
[] Fairy
[] Fighting
[] Fire
[] Flying
[] Ghost
[] Grass
[] Ground
[] Ice
[] Normal
[] Poison
[] Psychic (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)
[] Steel
[] Water

How much experience do you have under your belt?
[] Just Hatched
Your egg was snatched away between worlds before you hatched. You start at the absolute bottom of the power scale, but you'll understand your new world like a native.

[] Wild - Young
You're a fairly typical wild specimen of your species. You have a couple Moves down already and know how to handle yourself in the wilderness.

[] Wild - Strong
You're strong by the standards of wild Pokemon. You're well-accustomed to fighting, and can generally expect to handle yourself in both wilderness survival and combat against most threats.

[] Wild - Savvy (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)
Who says you need a Trainer to be a Pokemon in the big city? You're one of those street-smart urban Pokemon who's figured out how to make a living in the big city, whether that's through simple scavenging, offering some sort of service for pay, or planning elaborate casino heists to get at their stockpile of TMs (innocent whistling). You're a smart one, and a pretty tough one too.

[] Trained - Formidable
You've been with your trainer for a while, and have easily surpassed what wild Pokemon can expect to achieve thanks to things like Vitamins and Technical Machines and Move Tutoring. That said, you haven't forgotten how to take care of yourself in the wilderness.

[] Trained - Champion
Your trainer has pushed your talents to the absolute maximum extent they can. While this means you start with great combat power, it also means you're thoroughly accustomed to a team and support structure that is no longer present.

ACTIVATE TWITCH MODE?
[] Yes (The player character will hear what you're saying in the thread, and may very well refuse to cooperate if you're jerks.)
[] No (The player character won't hear what you're saying.)

[X] GIRL (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)
[X] Hoenn (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)

[X] Normal
The only reason I'm choosing Normal over Psychic is because I'm hoping we can play as a Meowth with access to Pay Day... or possibly a Zigzagoon with Pickup. Playing a somewhat weak normal type Savvy Pokemon who can scrounge up money or items to bribe other Pokemon into working for her sounds fun to me. But I can also totally see being a psychic type for all the powers a properly played one can have.

[X] Wild - Savvy (This option starts with one vote due to personal preference)
[X] Yes (The player character will hear what you're saying in the thread, and may very well refuse to cooperate if you're jerks.)

[X] BOY
[X] Sinnoh
[X] Ground
[X] Just Hatched

[X] No (The player character won't hear what you're saying.)

K: Interesting selections so far. Gonna let the vote run a while longer in hopes of getting a tiebreaker for the Twitch thing.

[X] BOY
[X] Kalos
[X] Steel
[X] Trained - Formidable
You've been with your trainer for a while, and have easily surpassed what wild Pokemon can expect to achieve thanks to things like Vitamins and Technical Machines and Move Tutoring. That said, you haven't forgotten how to take care of yourself in the wilderness.

Intro 2: Your situation
The transition was quite sudden. You were enjoying a night out with the rest of your gang in Lilycove City, when suddenly a panicked Cosmog dashed into the alleyway you were hanging out in. You barely had a chance to blink before Team Aqua arrived in hot pursuit. There was a pulse of psychic power from Cosmog at the same time as a Gyarados fired a Hyper Beam into the alley.

It's a Critical Hit!
Wild KIRLIA Fainted!

When you came to, you were somewhere else.
(Pick ONE option)

[] ...Well this is definitely a city, that's for sure. But instead of the glass and steel and brick you're used to, this place looks to be sculpted out of solid stone. And the chutes delivering packages all over the place are
definitely new.
(Avatar: The Last Airbender)

[] Huh, this is a nice town. Not quite sure what's going on with this Picori Festival, but people look to be having a good time. OH FUCK WHY ARE THERE ANGRY WEIRD POKEMON EVERYWHERE NOW!? (Legend Of Zelda, The Minish Cap)

[] Aaand that's an angry Dragon Type (that you don't recognize) rampaging through a major city (that you don't recognize). Nope not dealing with that; even with an immunity to Dragon-type moves, most dragons have plenty of off-type attacks available, and they hit really hard. Good thing you know teleport. (Harry Potter, Masquerade In Mid-Collapse)

[] SANDSTORM INCOMING! Fortunately there look to be buildings nearby you can duck into, and with how diverse the local population is you don't think anyone will think you're particularly odd. (Tattooine during Phantom Menace, Anakin is RIGHT OVER THERE)

[] You're in a city, with big skyscrapers everywhere. They look to still be rebuilding after a tsunami or something hit them. Also that two-tailed fox looking Pokemon is new. And he seems quite curious about you.
(Sonic The Hedgehog, intermediate period between Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2)

Either way, after a few minutes to take stock of the situation, it quickly becomes clear that you're not the only thing who got blasted through that whatever the fuck...
What else from your homeworld arrived with you? (Pick 3)
[] Your partner in crime
This Zorua moved from Unova a few years ago, and promptly teamed up with you to run hustles on the humans, along with the occasional heist. She's talented in illusions, a clever trickster, and formidable in combat. And you love her.

[] Your Ill-Gotten Gains
Shortly before... whatever this was, you robbed both the Game Corner in Mauville City and the Lilycove Department Store, making off with an absolutely massive stash of Technical Machines and Hidden Machines. Inventorying what came through the rift with you, about 90% of them are accounted for in good working order.

[] Your Emergency Kit
Seeing as you're blessed with thumbs, you're one of the only Pokemon competent with human-made restorative items, along with a few... distinctly less restorative items. Well over fifty Hyper Potions and Super Potions apiece, Full Heals, Max Ethers, and a couple grenades you acquired from Team Magma.

[] Your Pokeball
Even without a trainer, being linked to a Pokeball is handy. Not only is it a great portable home to sleep in, but the darn thing is nearly indestructible, and it's a great place to keep stuff. (If taken with Partner in Crime, Zorua also brought her ball along; will also be the default storage location for Ill Gotten Gains, Emergency Kit, and the Box Garden)

[] A Box-Garden Full of Berries
Though the effects are less... dramatic than human-made restoratives, Berries are a very reliable way of keeping in good health and dealing with injuries. Especially if you've got a knack for gardening. Which you do. You also have a portable box garden providing a respectable supply of Lum, Leppa, and Sitrus berries.

K: Twitch Mode is active! KIRLIA will hear everything posted in the thread except votes!

K: Well, except for the bit where she's technically unconscious right now...

This or Avatar. Choosing this because I've been listening to the Snapcube fandubs.

[X] Your Pokeball
Having a mobile base and borderline Bag of Holding sounds very useful.

[X] Your partner in crime
Would love to see an Isakai where the hero isn't just going it alone but has someone to talk to. Also a Zorua's illusion powers can be very useful in any situation. It's also interesting that Zorua being dark type should make them immune to Kirlia's psychic powers (which considering how OP psychic powers are if used creatively makes me interested how said immunity works).

[X] A Box-Garden Full of Berries
And berries ... the OP self-replicating restorative item. With a box garden and Pokeball we should be able to keep an endless supply of food and healing items (that can potentially get turned into candy or poffins if we know how) and there's always the chance to plant them out in the wild.

The box of TMs is tempting, but I'm going to say a home, friend, and reliable source of food and medicine trumps that. Would be curious if Pay Day is among those TMs and how the move would interact with worlds with other currencies.

Welcome to Omashu
K: Right, here we go!

The alleyway you had appeared in was apparently right off a main road, with countless humans milling about their day-to-day lives. Staring out at it, you can't help but remark to Zorua "I don't think we're in Hoenn anymore."

Your partner takes one glance around, before noting "That was obvious. The only question is where we actually are. Too warm for Sinnoh, there's nowhere in Unova, Kalos, or Galar that uses this architectural style, too cold for Alola, and I don't think those creatures pulling carts around are actually Pokemon."

You glance out of the concealing shade of your alley, and yeah, those creatures sure look an awful lot like Pokemon, but they aren't any variety you'd know about. And when you gently brush over their minds with your psychic senses there's no comforting spark of sapience. Nor is there the black hole for psychic energy characteristic of Dark Types like your best friend.

However you do pick up on something rather odd.

"Yeah Zorua, those beasts are just animals, nothing to be worried about. Also there's a telepathic connection in the back of my mind. Doesn't feel malicious? Just... there."

Zorua tightens her eyes in mirth "Why not poke it and see what they have to say? They might actually know where we are."

Huh, alright then.

P̴̜̬̦͊̓͂̀̈̚͝͝O̷̢͓̱̝̻͚̗̅͆̑̚K̸̞͉̺̭̾͛E̸̛̟̝͇̻͖͓̓͌̿̒̓͑͋͝ͅ

Hey, you on the other end of this weird telepathic link! Yeah you! What's going on? Where am I?

Well, what do you tell KIRLIA?

Hi there! We're a collective of extra-universal beings! It's nice to meet you, Ms. Kirlia!

Not entirely sure what's going on, but I do know you're not in your old world anymore.

Congrats: you and your "best friend" hinthintwinkwinknudgenudge are now the only two Pokemon on the entire planet. Be prepared for weird looks!

The good news is that you might end up on a fantastic world spanning journey to save the world. The bad news is also that.

Please be silly responsibly, and if you want to go on that adventure, look for a bald kid with arrow tattoos who has the spiritual weight of over 1000 lifetimes and a god. Said bald kid can be considered flying type and is learning how to use water type, fire type, and ground type moves.

Also there is no Pokemon at all, so congratulations you are now endangered/near-extinct species.

Be warned that some of us may end up seeming like perverts and assholes, we have that effect on people.

Um, Hello?
Hi there! We're a collective of extra-universal beings! It's nice to meet you, Ms. Kirlia!
Nice to meet you too, person on the other end of a weird telepathic link!
Not entirely sure what's going on, but I do know you're not in your old world anymore.
That... that makes sense, honestly.

Congrats: you and your "best friend" hinthintwinkwinknudgenudge are now the only two Pokemon on the entire planet. Be prepared for weird looks!
...Wouldn't be the first time we've needed to impersonate humans, I guess?
The good news is that you might end up on a fantastic world spanning journey to save the world. The bad news is also that.
Oh joy.
Please be silly responsibly, and if you want to go on that adventure, look for a bald kid with arrow tattoos who has the spiritual weight of over 1000 lifetimes and a god. Said bald kid can be considered flying type and is learning how to use water type, fire type, and ground type moves.
...Wait, if there's typed humans in this world, does that mean they have type vulnerabilities? Is thunderbolt super effective on the bald kid?
Also there is no Pokemon at all, so congratulations you are now endangered/near-extinct species.
I'd kind of gathered that from the "in a new universe where Pokemon aren't a thing" bit earlier, thanks.
Be warned that some of us may end up seeming like perverts and assholes, we have that effect on people.
...

Anyway, after relaying all of that, Zorua thinks for a moment "We need more information, and I don't think we can rely on your new contacts to tell us about absolutely everything. So, that means we need to do some scouting around. I can disguise myself as a human easy enough, but keeping you from being noticed is going to be quite a bit harder. How do you want to play this."

Looking out of the alley for a moment as you think, your gaze happens to pass over a group of two young humans dressed in blue and someone who's doing a very bad job of pretending to be an old man. You mention "Well, I could go in my ball and have you carry me. Or I could go out blatantly and we get to see how the people here respond to something that doesn't fit their worldview."

The two of you think for a moment about what to do... then you spot a detail about the fake old man that stands out. That guy has arrow tattoos on the back of his hands. Hadn't that been mentioned as significant? "Zorua, that fake old man has arrow tattoos. I'm gonna try taking a telepathic peek at him, but just in case it goes wrong, please be ready to catch me."

Zorua nods and makes her illusion, taking the guise of one of the locals. And with that you peer into the human's min-

POWER

You immediately zip back out, that kid definitely fits the bill for what the guy was talking about, and he seems to have noticed you.

The three of them are exchanging words that you don't understand right now, and arrow kid is looking right at you. The three of them seem more confused than hostile as they approach your current hiding spot, but this is definitely the sort of confrontation you were not looking for.

What do you do?

[] Try and talk with them via telepathy, you might be able to defuse the situation.

[] Put Zorua in her ball and teleport the both of you out of there RIGHT NOW.

[] Open up with Thunderbolt

Kirlia can hear you, but will only respond once the panic attack dies down.

[x] Try and talk with them via telepathy, you might be able to defuse the situation.

Deescalation is better than escalation, and hey, you'll always be able to escalate later if deescalation doesn't work

[X] Try and talk with them via telepathy, you might be able to defuse the situation.

They are generally friendly, and aren't even adults yet, so you will be safe so long as you don't attempt to harm or threaten them.

[X] Try and talk with them via telepathy, you might be able to defuse the situation.

EDIT: SHIT. Sorry for the Necro... -_-
