I wonder if they always count as unliving to powers, or if it's like Weld and they basically get a "treated as not alive when it's beneficial, treated as alive instead when that is beneficial" best of both worlds thing.

She "turns it off" by draining them completely; the only way she could keep the connection off would be if she stayed right there and kept draining them. Doable if it's a matter of her escorting somebody to a special cell (or the Birdcage), but she obviously doesn't want to spend the rest of her life holding on to some villain.Wonder if she could also keep the connection off and not turn it on?
Even if it automatically reconnects, if she can delay it then it'd make Capes much easier to transport/contain.
