It cries out in pain and drops the wood, but it recovers quickly and charges Small creature, easily catching its attempt to dodge with its greater reach and restrains it below it with its larger mass.

Dude she's being Attacked. Unless you're planning to betray the drow who might not kill you out of hand after freeing her like other races will on average.
