Since no one has stepped up, I'll set the record straight.
I assume by 'Bioethics,' you mean something akin to eugenics or any flavor of race theory.
You can have characters champion their positions on bioethics and other political-ideological positions. You could even write a story about bioethics itself.
Anything goes so long as it stays within the story.
As far as forum discussions go, you can talk about the history of bioethics and express your opinion on it.
What you can't do is use your position on bioethics to be a dick to others or advocate political policies.
If you meant something else by 'Bioethics,' then you should've clarified what you meant, which is probably why no one had responded to you until now.
I don't know of a single Mod who would punish someone for asking clarification of rules.I request this thread to be deleted. I'm afraid of being Infracted.
The usual euphemism for that is "human biodiversity", abbreviated HBD. There are a couple of others, and euphemisms aren't always used, but "bioethics" is emphatically not used in this fashion (I did a quick search on a board that leans that way and got zero uses of it in such a fashion).I assume by 'Bioethics,' you mean something akin to eugenics or any flavor of race theory.
The reason I didn't respond is that as a normal user I can't speak for the site. I assume this applies to most normal users (though not to the mods/admins).If you meant something else by 'Bioethics,' then you should've clarified what you meant, which is probably why no one had responded to you until now.
So, after a brief look at that wikipedia article (since I, like many others, did not know what bioethics referred to), I think it's a tricky question to answer.
I'll admit I made an assumption there.Given that a Google would have told you what "bioethics" actually means, I think your blaming @Daytripper for not pre-emptively disabusing you of your misconception was inappropriate, even though he was pretty vague.
I didn't know what applications for 'discussing Bioethics' he had in mind because he didn't provide enough information.
I was applying it to fictional people. Is that fine? Right? I don't want to get banned.
