I really wish authors and people would stop calling original characters or alternate universe characters (which this basically is) self inserts. It is like putting science fiction into the fantasy section. One has robots the other has elves. How are they the same people.

I have seen it happen on occasion. But calling the author flaky is probably not the way to do it.

Also worth noting that new content is exempt from necro rule. So for example, if you were to write and post an omake, it won't be necro and is far more likely to entice the author to write again
