Pfft, hahahaha!!!! reading on it makes me laugh. Damn that game is hated.

I have a copy of Hacknet, Hiveswap act one and Tropico 4! Just reply if you want any of them~

Not really a give-away as it's free to begin with, but Undefeated is a pretty fun game. It's apparently made by a Japanese game student and you basically fly around an island city playing knock-off Superman. The flying mechanics are superb, with the only issue being that you can't rebind keys.

I would like to get the game since it's free but apparently humble's site borked and now it says I already claimed it when there was an error in my claiming it the first time.

Oh, well.

Is it Humble or Steam that says you already claimed it?
If it's Humble you should have received it in your emails also, and if it's Steam then don't believe it, Steam will often say that a game you just activated was already in your account but that's because somehow there's a delay between the site and your account which means the time it takes to add the game to your library is shorter than the time the redeem page refresh, so it thinks your already have it even tough it just activated it for you.

Humble.

When I first tried to get the game it came up with an error instead of claimed.

Error

We were unable to process your order.

Sorry for the inconvenience. If you still have this problem after retrying, please

It said to retry and I did, and then apparently I already own the game.

Already owned

You already own this product. You cannot redeem another copy at this time.

Apparently it refreshes everytime I go to the link. No email btw.

You might want to contact them then, preferably before the offer ends just in case they run out.

Eh, I'm not really too interest in it so I might not go through the trouble of customer support to get it.

If it happens with the next free game then I would because that means there's a problem.

Huh, tried it again this time without my adblock and it went through. Don't know the reason or whatever but I'm not going to question it.

Hey, all. It's that time of year again, and to celebrate, I'm giving away some of the spare games I have.

I have a lot of unused Humble Bundle game CD keys for Steam. To redeem them, you have to have a Steam account.

Rules are simple: Pick a game or two, and ask for them. I'll send you a PM with the link to redeem the CD Key, or maybe just the CD key itself, as the case may be. As the games are picked, I'll cross them out.

Happy Holidays!

Spare Humble Bundle Keys

December comes rolling around, and so I look at my buildup of extra keys again.

Rules are the same still, just ask in the thread and I'll PM you the key. You'll need a Steam account to redeem the key.

Yo, you still got Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation + Epic map pack + Turtle Wars DLC? I only just spotted that in your list.

Total Annilation commander pack free on GOG for the next 48 hours.

Wonder if I ever play it, it would tell me what all the fuss about is from those SIs.
As someone who's played it, I honestly thought Supreme Commander was better. Though to be fair, that's less a statement about how Total Annihilation is bad, and more a statement about how when the devs started working on Supreme Commander, they basically took everything that was already fantastic about TA and managed to improve on it even further to push the limits of available hardware at the time. TA is still pretty great, it's just been overshadowed by SupCom. Both of them are better than Planetary Annihilation though.

Having said that though, TA's soundtrack still holds up as one of the best video game OSTs ever created.

Agreed. TA was what inspired Supreme Commander in the first place; SupCom is basically a remake with it with even more features, units, and cool shit.

Even back when TA was made, though, it still had a ton of pretty kickass features in comparison to other RTSes- bullets had trajectory, and would actually impact on hills if they were in the way, you could have units queue up complex order paths (move here, then there, then start patrolling these two points), etc. When units explode, their parts legitimately fly everywhere dynamically, instead of a static death animation.

The economy system is pretty unique, being limitless and exponential; whereas in Starcraft/Warcraft late game the map runs out of resources, that just doesn't happen in TA. Also, resource consumption is done in real-time. If you order something built, instead of up-front costs, it's a steady drain relative to the progress, and if you stretch yourself too thin your construction will slow down.
A lot different than most other RTSes of the time.

As for what the fuss is about, basically wanking with biggatons and exponential growth, since the lore is about factions with basically ex-nihilo resource generation that have demonstrated the ability to construct planets of metal and true Jupiter-brains. Oh, and cloning with each clone having full memories.

The lore was kinda silly, basically Singularity comes about and humans are mandated to upload their minds to machine, abandoning flesh. Some folks didn't want to. Humanity-that-became-machine is the Core, and the flesh and blood humans are the Arm.
The two factions basically fought for a thousand years til the events of the game which is a pretty generic story about blah blah doing some battles and turning the tide.

Forest Green is the best goddamn theme and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
