Indeed.I presume that latter part was directed to Lugia.
So I gather.

What other series would other people recommend to me to help me get a better handle on my HFY love and justice MG fic in the works?
Right now, I'm thinking of finishing StrikerS and then ViVi. Where should I go after that?
Had a bit too much Starlights, so I'll think I'll hold off it those for all while.

What I really am looking for is for more Utena-like series where there is a conflict between the idealism of young girls and the harsh realism the realpolitik, soulless world thrusts upon them. How strong is Symphogear on that one? What about Yuuki Yuuna?
What would you say is the "Legend of Galactic Heroes" (long, >110 episodes, and ruthless) of the magical girl genre?

Ancient conspiracies ahoy!
One of the antagonists of Symphogear is basically throwing an apocalyptic hissy fit about people and the world being horrible, if that's close enough. What I really am looking for is for more Utena-like series where there is a conflict between the idealism of young girls and the harsh realism the realpolitik, soulless world thrusts upon them. Judging "best" is extremely difficult, especially when taking into account that not everyone is interested in every fandom or type of fic (for instance, I haven't read anything from any of those writers you mentioned). So just came accross a poster who said that Ryuugi is the best writer on SB.
And I get where he is coming from, but to be frank konamikode, Xon, and Drich are writers who I feel are better than Ryuugi.
So out of curiosity what kind of people do you feel are the best writers on the three sister sites
I don't know what I should think. What's the context? What do you think of nation of robots that believe in freedom and democracy, free trade, open borders, freedom of speech and individuality and the dignity of all sentient beings, willing to stand up for their allies?
Don't you just hate that moment in a movie or a book where most of the characters lose the ability to say anything other than "Stop!", "Don't do this!" and "You don't know what will happen if you do this!" and the whole fucking situation can be solved by some random cunt just saying a few words to explain the situation?
Having some trouble in a pseudo freeform RP
It's cool, the GM has a lot of races, cultures, classes, and a thing called "affinity" basically what overcasts all your magical abilities.
...Except, one NPC race that really clashes, they are blatantly author favorites. They are stronger than the highest tiered members of races, minus gods, but their own god is defacto the strongest one. My problem is there is absolutely no way to reasonably get them to stop doing bad shit, like the kidnapping and corrupting other races into servants. The only caveat is they aren't actively fighting or invading, but they're doing whatever the fuck all and there is literally nothing we can do in the context of the story. Me an the other players at this point are just choosing to try and avoid ANYTHING involving that race, and hopefully our GM will not throw a hissy fit when they figure out we are actively trying to not involve ourselves with them
If I was in your position, I would give the GM the middle finger and stop playing any game he does.
But that's probably not what you want to hear.
*she
And honestly, that's been suggested, one member in the group already does that
The problem is that everything else in the RP seems... pretty enjoyable? Like just remove that race and it's a solid base
And then there's also the fact that the GM is a long time member of the friend group
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't feel much hesitation in just leaving the RP I'm doing with some friends right now and just keep doing whatever I do when I'm not on the RP. If they complain, who cares? (They probably wouldn't complain unless everyone left, tho... They would probably just cry some digital tears or some stuff.)

You could always try talking to her and airing your concerns.*she
