Tried making cabbage stew for the first time.
The instructions I followed called for 1kg of cabbage, so I got a 2kg one intending to halve it.
Of course I didn't actually remember to do that in the actual moment of getting it done, so supplementing it instead of 1kg of carrot and 4 onions it has ~250g of carrot and 2 onions >.>

Heh, lol. I will have to try making cabbage soup. I usually stir fry cabbage. Cabbage and sausage is one of my favorite childhood dishes. (Usually using summer sausage, or deer meat sausage. Beef is good too.)

Although, cabbage is a great base or major item for Asian stir fries too.

But cabbage works well with strong meat flavors. (Liver and gizzards can work, but I personally prefer sausage.) and it both reduces Down quite a bit and gives you a lot of volume for thru weight so it is filling. Not potato level filling. But more than say carrots, celery, peas, etc. but it is heartier than most leafy greens like kale, spinach, etc.

I usually don't do it with chicken as chicken is a bit mild. So I like pairing it with a veggie that is more impactful. Like peppers. Larger amounts of onion. Or something chunky and crisp, like broccoli. (Potatoes work if it is seasoned well. I prefer eggs and potatoes to chicken and potatoes though.)

Need a tie-breaker vote for Ambitions of an Idiot Vampiress. Was originally asking around my own threads, then the magical girl and futanari threads since this particular vote is about screwing with a mesmerized futanari magical girl, but I'm not getting any more votes, so here we are.

Current vote is by task, with three choices: what the vampire is doing to the child the magical girl has been impregnated with, how the vampire is dealing with the magical girl now that she's caught the magical girl regenerating away her mind control by shifting her brain and body back to normal, and how to punish the magical girl over this. Leading (or rather, only) votes are as follows:

Plan Self-Love and Personal Growth v2 - Child is being turned into a copy of the vampire focused on physical combat ability. The fix for Sparkling Knuckle's mesmerism is to grow a second, easily mesmerized brain inside one of her breasts, then give her an external male reproductive system and use the lust toward Zenna to control Sparkling Knuckle. The punishment is to drain some of Sparkling Knuckle's intelligence into the vampire copy, swell her breasts up to the point that they get in the way, grow two huge penises on her, and force her to give birth to quadruplets (the other offspring will be normal humans).

Plan: child dark paladins and magic girl futa-breeder - Child is being turned into a transforming magical knight. The fix for Sparkling Knuckle's mesmerism is to grow a second, easily mesmerized brain inside one of her breasts, then give her an internal testicle to use to direct a male lust toward Zenna to control Sparkling Knuckle through (so almost the same, but without an external male reproductive system), and also to make Sparkling Knuckle think she has always been like that and joined Zenna willingly. That said, vote is by task, not by plan, so technically, someone could swing a vote using one task from each plan and cause the winning vote to be none of them.

After watching a certain chubby electron guy video my brain won't shut up about a Kancolle idea wherein the stereotypical SI comes back as the USS Nemo.

AKA, U-505 the only remaining type 9C U-boat in existence currently parked in the middle of Chicago.

I have no idea for where the plot would go, but my brain insists on going 'hey, wouldn't it be cool to have an american shipgirl who is actually a german submarine and watch everyone's brains break trying to make sense of it?'

Maybe evil himbo is the incorrect term. Basicaly an evil couple where the wife technically fits the yandere archetype, even if made made from the west. It's just nobody notices because different fandoms or she's evil so loyalty by killing her husband's enemies is expected.

He canonically does have one. In the stage play sequel to the main Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the cursed child in question, and ultimate villain of the plot, is the time-travelling daughter of Voldemort and Bellatrix. Voldy suffered a very similar fate to his father, sad to say, in that he would clearly have been raped for that character to exist, as he has no concept of romantic or sexual love himself.

It turns out Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality is a manga published in Japan which started in 2024, and now it's being scanlated on MangaDex.

I know Japan has unusual copyright laws which permit profiting from derivative works (hence many beloved porn doujins existing), but I never made the connection to monetizing fanfiction by adapting it in Japan.

The art's not bad, but seeing it exist at all made me feel like Harry in last final panel of the first chapter:

Betrayal on the House on the Hill is a really fun game to play, and, with a program called Vassal, we're able to play it with other people online. I know it's a fun game to play because, well, I've played it.

Oh boy I wanted monopoly from my parents for my whole childhood but they never got me it. Now decades later I have a deep longing in my chest and childlike joy whenever I spot a box of monopoly in someone's house. I can buy it for myself now yeah but it would never fill the hole in my heart. Monopoly is just a vessel for my unfulfilling childhood. Anyways I love playing it whenever I can convince people to play it with me. I tried to play it digitally too but it just isn't the same. We play taboo a lot during parties and get togethers too but it isn't as fun for me.

Almost unbelievable. I saw this Fanfiction before on FF dot net. Read the first page and was bored immediately. I don't like Harry Potter much but I gave it a shot. So does the author get royalties from this? Do you all think it is morally right for people to make money from fanfiction? I get that a lot of work was put into both the text and manga version believe me. But you know how it is. Fanfic is tolerated halfway because they can't stop it and halfway because it's non profit.

For one it's drawn / AI generated in the style of the high-budget titles of the 80's and 90's, and a higher budget allows for much more detail and fluid animation.

Another thing is the shading, modern animu just can't seem to ever get it right. Also, the color tones seem more grounded and realistic in older works.

Thirdly, memory issue. People generally don't remember all the shitty, crappy garbage from 40 years ago, but only the best things that stayed in their memories, which forms a baseline they then judge everything else with. So they are comparing the absolute best from the golden age to the generic crap of today.

Finally, and this is most important: disregard everything I've said previously, the art style was just better back then.
