Aside from that, it's ground vehicle time! Upcoming issues on Edin and beyond will force Las to upgrade his ground forces. Thankfully, by the time that happens, he will be much richer. This, of course, means that the name of the game will be quality over quantity(though quantity is still appreciated). Effective ground vehicles, be they cannon, fannon, or just cool concept art like the Storm Walker is all appreciated and will be taken into serious consideration. Prolly cause I read every comment like a madman.
This is a good idea to use https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Battle_net
One thing the Mindan military is going to need, especially if it is operating off world, is going to be a dedicated Electronic and Signal vehicle. The PDAs and upgraded network infrastructure have probably made Mindan combat doctrine a bit reliant on operating with good comms and coordination.
It could be something as simple as a box on wheels filled with electronics. Or it could be given anti-gravity tech to more easily cross terrain and IEDs. Walker legs is probably a bit much on the complicated parts side.
The thing's going to need some heavy armor given it would be a priority target for ambushes. Force fields might be splurging a bit, better save that for combat vehicles. It doesn't need to move fast, just get from Point A to Point B fairly reliably on a schedule and intact.
Another non-combat vehicle Minda might need to develop is a Riot Control vehicle. Las just arrested or killed a fairly good portion of Edin's inhabitants, ones on the relatively wealthier side at that. No way that isn't going to cause some chaos in the cities, and unlike the Tax Incident, Las can't Nat 20 speech check this away.
So for a good riot vehicle, this things going to need to be intimidating, but unlike a good portion of Imperial Design, actually able to do its job. I am imagining a thick cow catcher on the front to slowly plow through and separate crowds. Thing should be heavily armored enough all around to be safe from civilian grade blasters and whatever makeshift weaponry the locals can throw together.
A dedicated ion stunner or sonic cannon on a turret with plenty of heat sinks for rapid firing. Although settings are going to have to be calibrated each time it is used to minimize the change of lasting damage to a protestor's biology. Cybernetics are probably going to be a lost cause though.
For utility equipment, grenade launchers as side weapons is a must for smoke or tear gas. An air cannon for suppressing fires and maybe break up a crowd or two mid riot wouldn't go amiss. You are going to be using this thing in atmosphere and air cannon means you won't have to use water which would be godsend on low water planets.
Stores of first aid supplies for both police and protestor would also help keep fatalities down. These things are meant to suppress an unruly populace, not kill them outright until they stop resisting. Hard distinction for an Imperial to make I'm sure.
Big comm units could be helpful to direct and coordinate the Riot Police. Although if this mainly used in cities, dispatch can probably handle that. I am tempted to recommend it run on wheels or tracks with thick skirts for maximum protection, but hover tech is ubiquitous enough that it could work too. Walker legs would just make you a big target in the streets.
