Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

For those of you in the officer course, you have been testing yourselves in the strategy sims that game terminals poorly try to copy. You have commanded digital armadas, and if you do well here, you may command your own ship someday.

Im actually curious what kind of setup on those strat sims are.

Is it like Homeworld mechanics? The mechanics of space is quite neat and almost has freedom of movement.

A solid and good update here!

Ngl, I'm pretty curious as to how the Governor may be able to handle future issues coming from the Empire itself. We've already seen a few potential signs with the Sector Admiral, but I'm curious as to if we'll get something like some COMPNOR Officer deciding that they don't like an up and coming (if still backwater) system being so alien-friendly, or the Moff perhaps ending up being a bit too interested and dragging the Governor into the spotlight more (perhaps at Sector Galas or whatnot).

Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing what else there is in store here.

Speeding through the fields, Parsh felt free in a sense. As a patrol trooper, it was his job to patrol imperial lanes, cities and streets. In the past year, that meant riding along the increasingly cramped streets of Accordia as more and more people moved in, and markets crowded nearly every street. There had even been rumors the governor was planning on building elevated roads to allow traffic to flow.
Accordia taking its first steps to being a proper arcology. A year and some change back it was just a podunk town out in the Outer Rim.
And it's not like he had anything going on back on Minda, so it was an opportunity to see the sights.

And the sights were glorious. Rolling fields stretched for miles, broken up only by the looming plateaus that dotted the landscaped. Off in the distance he could see the light blue reflection of Lake Richter, which itself stretched for miles.
The fact people are leaving Minda to "be out in the open" is a wonderful sign. It means the planet is progressing enough to get outgoing tourists, a sign of higher and/or richer civilization.
One small horde had even tried to attack the build site of the new IM-455 modular garrison that was to act as the new military operations center. It was to be placed on a plateau about 17 miles or so from Edin City. Of course, the horde failed, but still. He had been there.
Ooo, building a Battle Hexagon. That is going to allow for a lot of power projection. Between the vehicle bays that can service AT-ATs, TIE airports, the death fence, and turbolaser turrets this is going to impenetrable short of a full army, Las is probably going to be ahead of his time and get that Scoopball court installed pre-0BBY.
The Militia Academy placed great emphasis on the fact that no branch was an island, and that inter-branch rivalries were often more hurtful than helpful.
Poor Militia are going to get eaten alive if they ever transfer to an Imperial run deployment. Possibly literally depending on the wildlife or if there is a Sith there.
"So, work hard, work together, and push beyond others' expectations of you. Your only true limit is your will to persevere."
Meanwhile at Imperial Academy:

"So, cheat, backstab each other, and use other's expectations of you against them. Your only true limit is how far you are willing to go in pursuing power."

One of these days...
Governor Mola's soldiers and void personnel...
Will be crack teams of maddlads and maddlasses.
The best of the best of the Frontier.
When the Empire fractures in the distant future...
These same men and women will be Minda/Edin's staunchest defenders.

I just remembered something, wasn't there a tibana gas shortage after the death star blew up? Because of that one moth in charge of the sector that mainly export tibana decided to lock down to deprive the rebels of the fuel. Ofcourse Lando is in charge of the other sole non imperial planet that has tibana gas.

So looks like Veers is staying with the Governor?
Which is great, 'cause her dad is General Veers. I ain't got no earthly idea who he is, but if he's known in some crime-addled shitpit like Edin, then he's got to be good and important.

Once the Empire collapses, he'll probably go to where his daughter is. Or he'll ask his daughter to come to him, but she'll probably convince him to come to her, or something.

Unless he dies, I guess.

veers was the general in command on hoth . you see him on the AT-AT when the shield generator is blown up.

Ooh, it's this guy, I KNEW I saw him before, I just couldn't place him!

Yeah, this guy coming in (if he does) after the Empire collapses will be a massive boon to Las' future Armed Forces.

Is it possible for an Info threadmark containing new weapon and armors and vehicle designs and image, because I forgot what the TIE Whirlwind looks like and can't find the chapter it was introduced in
ABSOLUTELY this. It's getting kinda impossible to remember the name and look of every piece of new equipment. An Index page with that would work wonders.

Supposedly, someone posted a link to the page of a prodigy walker driver he transferred into the stormtrooper corps due to them pointing out the ATATs could be relatively easily & cheaply taken down using cables (like in the battle of hoth) and left him to waste away in the tatooine garrison where his critiques of the walker doctrine would not endanger Veer's career (built it on pioneering ATAT tactics btw)

At this point, I'm already picturing our intrepid protagonist sitting on the Emperor's throne trying desperately to keep the crumbling beast that is the decapitated empire together. After a long series of accidents and overachievements that see him tripping falling and bouncing his way up the ladder, even as he claws at the rungs to try to stay out of sight, of course.

I can't find anything on this, so I'm going to take it with a single grain of salt.

On a unrelated note Veers had a son in Legends, Zevulon Veers, so does our admiral have a brother?

I've got it, his name is Davin Felth and the story is in his wookiepedia page, the story is legends though

huh, but in all honesty the problem was a literal 1 in a million, remember the cable manuveur was only done once, and could easily be negated by a single modification. (I also question how he got to rthat assumption with how the story goes, feels kind of forced to make Veers look bad)
