Interest Check & Idea Thread

New start for a new site and such.

Just add holding hands. But Madoka in spaceships sounds interesting...
Madoka in space already exists, about 450 years post-series (not counting Rebellion), taking into account that magical girls are pretty much immortal unless they can't clean their gem or get killed in battle, in a fic that's as close as you can get to hard science fiction when magical girls are involved. Everything that isn't inherently magical is hard science fiction.

I'm aware of that, yes.

So isaw this wideo from Project DIVA and also watching Wall-E in the TV last day it inspired an idea.

Apocalyptic Earth. Remnant of mankind that still remain in hibernation in underground bunker until wasteland on the surface will be save enough to habitable once again. This time almost had come. A supercomputer that is overseeing last of mankind, finished latest environmental analysis and according to it calculation Earth atmosphere and land will be save for humans withing next 100 years. So it's time to start first phase of The Plan.

A couple hundred androids are activated and send to Earth surface to start restoration process and prepare a piece of land ready to serve as new home for the people that will be awoken after a century.
Androids will be tasked with removing all hazardous materials, building new habitant structures and fertilizing ground for plants. But earth is still full of dangers that will make this process difficult. Atmospheric anomalies and new mutated species of unknown animals will be biggest obstacles for our dear Androids.

It's could be something similar to CKII quest with time limit of 100 years. Within which player will try to their best to create best possible living and working environment for humans.

Okay, so I'm wanting to run a quest based on my own work, but I'm unsure if the setting I specifically am looking at posting about would interest people.

It's an Alt-history First Crusade that starts earlier for reasons that will get explained later, and you follow four possible characters.

  • Olufemi - A Pirate and magician from the Ghana Empire, known for his ability to build ships that sail through sand and air like it was ocean itself.
  • Gunvor - A Rogue Assassin from Vinland in the the Norse Empire, intent on sabotaging the crusades in an attempt to lead a conquest of the known world.
  • Melanie - A young girl from the Holy Roman Empire who was conscripted because of her pet siege machine and carriage, "Ford".
  • Nawfal - A Muslim Convert in France, eager to join the fight against the Fatimid Caliphate. His hair is a striking blue colour, and he struggles with darker impulses.
A part of me wants to do all four and make it so you don't have detailed control, but more guiding suggestions as their influences cross paths.

"How dark are we talking?"

"Like phthalocyan, you dig?"

"Uh... let me bust out my Pantone tiles..."

Perhaps a simple cross between a Bolo and the ship avatar from Andromeda.

Or, a male tank character who is powered by the love of his crew. Sexual love, of course.
I was lightly thinking along the vein of "War of the Human Tanks", "Gadget Trial", and yes the Kancolle collection sort of thing. Only issues is bar time and effort, setting and such.

At approximately 8:30 AM two days ago, the famous cruise line S.S. Anne's hull breached in several places. It sunk over the following hour, stranding the estimated 2,300 passengers and crew seven miles off the coast of Cinnabar. Of them, 1,273 passengers have been safely recovered, and there are 249 confirmed casualties. Rescue efforts are still underway; if you have access to Surf, Fly, or Teleport, and you live near the Fuchsia peninsula, Pallet town, or Cinnabar archipelago, we urge you to contact the Rangers to lend your support. - Delphox news broadcast, seventeenth year of the Red era, March fourth.

You wake up to heat.

Thirst came next.

Then came the pain.

You would have groaned, but you don't think your throat could handle it. A general burning feeling across all four limbs and your face. An ache in your shoulders, and a tingling numbness in your knees. Worst of all, a sharp, stabbing feeling in your foot, that came and went from second to second.

Ko-ki. Ko-ki.

Just as annoying as the pain.

You open your eyes to blinding light. Not your smartest move, considering you're staring straight at the sun. You roll to one side, kicking away from the obnoxious Krabby prodding your toes, and let your eyes adjust.

Sand. Water. Sky. None of it familiar.

Fuck.

This wasn't supposed to happen. The Anne was safe, you were assured. Afterburn wouldn't do anything about you until you made landfall, Jenny said, where she had an escort waiting to take you to the gym.

It should have been safe.

Shows you. The police weren't any more reliable than the family that sold you out for a Porygon. Than the Boss that fired you once he realized keeping you on would make him a target. Than the priest that outright told you that he had to take care of his flock, and that you weren't part of it.

So, yet again, you were on your own. More literally than usual, though.

A tribute to an old story I read near the start of my fanfiction journey. I wasn't fond of the smut in it, but the idea of being stranded on an island works pretty well in Pokemon.

A quest where you play as the Nasufied King of Lust, Asmodeus, pulling his best Randall Flagg impersonation at the behest of his erstwhile Master/Best Bro King Solomon.

Wandering the multiverse until such time as Solomon can Summon himself as Grand Caster and putting an end to the world in 2016, Asmodeus has taken it upon himself to serve as the eyes for Solomon to channel his Clairvoyance across time and space and see exactly why humanity isn't worth saving...Or is it?

Something like that

Could be interesting TehChron however it is more likely to work in the NSFW section then in the SFW section where you are pitching it.

If anyone is interested I have recently created a RWBY Quest based on RWBY CYOA. It will also involve several elements from Endless Legends game. Feel free to join in.

Thinking about starting a new quest: I will probably reboot my old quest as seeing them right now, almost half an year after gives me strange feelings.
As I will in future restart my Magi and Digimon quest, I would like to put down some ideas for my next quest.
I decided to went for series that aren't at the moment explored much there or that I mostly want to work with:
1) Nasuverse Quest, either an OC who starts at a chosen timeline in the verse or Shirou after being found by Kiritsugu; the quest will mostly explore the entirery of the Nasuverse and cross with elements from the other series beside Fate.
2) To Aru Majutsu no Index Quest, an OC or with a different Touma that can start either before the start of the canon series or with the meeting with Index.
3) Medaka Box, OC in the canonverse, mostly going for a comedy/shounen type quest.
4) Tokyo Ghoul, OC set in the canonverse, mostly depends on the race of the character.

That sounds like the concept for a rather happy and light-hearted quest? If so, I'd heartily approve! There's way too few of those around, compared to grim, dark, or generally very serious quests.

Then again it could easily turn into something depressing if we end up killed all the time, even if it doesn't "stick"...

Hm...

That's the goal, yes.
