I don't think it's been clarified if Sukuna had an extended lifespan

Jujutsu Sorcerers aside from Tengen and Kenjaku due to the nature of their techniques, don't seem to have a way to live longer

Even Satoru Gojo would have died of old age eventually if he wasn't killed in a fight

Course, he was the first guy to try out blowing up part of his brain and regenerating it with Reverse Cursed Technique

So perhaps it could eventually be used to break down and replace a body's cells and as such reverse the aging process

Sukuna might have had an inhuman body, but he was still human which was why he could use Positive Energy, he was likely a form of Heavenly Restriction, with his brother being eaten at the womb, he already gained his full power unlike Maki

Sukuna was likely afraid of death still, which was why he let Kenjaku affect his soul to do that technique which he copied
I never implied that he had an extended lifespan, i was just adding names to the list of famous figures that sukuna might of met, we don't exactly know when in the heian era sukuna lived.

The twin thing and heavenly restriction thing are also separate things and maki just happened to have both, not every twin is guaranteed to have one with a heavenly restriction and sukuna has never been stated to have a heavenly restriction.

The Heian Era was more than one century, so I presume he could have met a lot of figures

It does kinda explain his sheer power, I am guessing that Shrine is a combination of the Flames his brother would have had and his cutting ability

They fused into one, when he says he devoured his brother, it's more like they merged physically.

You know JJK world building, the politics and the functioning of the world politically are very much unexplored zone in the actual story of jjk

we don't know why sorcerers are sexist, we don't know why they hate modern techniques, we don't see their rationale for such ideas besides base prejudice

there are TONS of stuff in JJK that didnt pay off

what sukuna's trident did, not explain in the story

what happened to the Japanese people that were kidnaped by other governments to serve as a power source after the story

how there could be thousands of curses and only a few sorcerers

why there is a giant school for sorcerers and like 12 students

I see it in part as because Gege Akutami was vaguely trying to go "the old people can all go F themselves" minus the few examples that are willing to help, in part because unlike the Elders, they're on the ground operating

Something also vaguely about being against patriarchy and how strict dads are failures, though TBH, I think he unintentionally showed how bad Patriarchal Authoritarian Extended Family/Clan Structures are, what with the head being a borderline dictator making the rest into future asswipes eager to be in charge themselves and wanting financial and social control over the "children"

Japan and South Korea and even China, for the most part, last I checked, have been becoming more and more "nuclear" though. So that critique might be "too late", or not too easy to understand. From the POV of guys feeling atomized by society.

As for much of the WHY's? He was in a rush, he didn't even want an academy setting for the original version, he was speedrunning things a lot and as such stuff like worldbuilding are to the side or very very brief and don't matter much
