News and Headlines...

Uuuugh, time to see about encryption methods.

Well, I do believe some politicians would not want to be in the hot water they would create if they tried to pass that, so I guess we'll see.

Well, one of the Cards Against Humanity creators has said if it happens, he will acquire the browsing histories of the congress and make it public.

Also, no crowdsourcing for this shit.

The problem is, the browsing history of congress is held by the government, and all this deregulation does is make it so ISPs CAN sell your personal data, not make it so they HAVE to to the highest bidder. As was pointed out to that guy on twitter, Congress doesn't have to worry about their own stupid fuck ups, as usual.

EDIT: Essentially, the government is its own ISP and they play by different rules than the rest of us.

Anyways, this is why I originally came into this thread lol:

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NEWS GUYS!

It kills the "it's unnatural to eat meat" argument...
What sort of Tumblr page are you getting your info from? That sounds like a straw man vegan. I've never heard anyone make such a blatantantly false claim.

And… I'm trying to find a news article to stay on topic, but everything is too political, so instead I'm going to link to the Florida Man subreddit.

Haha holy fuck this is awful:

Like, I'm not a wedding guy, I hate ceremonies of all sorts and really don't believe in the "sanctity of marriage" either, but hot damn, even I'd probably slap a bitch (the guy to be clear, not the girl, guys can be bitches too) if they pulled something like this.

Fucking hell. Agreed on ceremonies, but if your best friends waits a few years to save up enough money and then has an $80k wedding only for you to upstage everything to talk about your own love life. How can one person contain so much asshattery?

*See's tornado* "Let me give you a list of fucks that I give while I mow my lawn."

"But it's blank sir?"

"Exactly."

And this comment below it

"this man is all of us just living our lives while 2017 happens lol"

So very very true, it's like that one Robin Williams skit about the country waking up from it's Fuckital® drug induced coma. Except this time we're skulling the entire bottle

So, many of you may not have been previously aware that this is a thing, but there are currently plans to build a Legoland in Goshen, New York. For those of you thumbing through your atlas, it's in the Hudson Valley, which is just north of Upstate and south of Albany, which is somewhere near the center as far as north/south goes.

Now, where this gets a little messy is that there are two factions who each have reasons to honestly believe that the park being built will be either a good thing or a bad thing for the town. Things have gotten rather heated, but the final plans were submitted mid-May and the review board will open things up to community input for the tail end of June, after which it will be sent for final decision.

It will be interesting to see which way this shakes out; it's a local issue right now, but presumably it could be a major source or tourism.

This article goes into more detail, if you're interested.

MOTHER OF FUCKING GOD!

WARNING: Not safe for Lunch!

Headline:
Doctors removed 30 pounds of poop from this man's colon

https://twitter.com/i/moments/874373025248022534

What even is that the doctor is holding? Is that part of his colon or is that the bottom half of his malformed twin that he's been carrying all his life? Because that certainly doesn't look like shit.

Actually kinda looks like sausage...

*Ponders the hotdogs being currently eaten* Eh, I've seen worse.

That's the part of his colon they had to remove. And apparently he's expected to recover...

Not surprising, you have like 10 feet of Large intestine and like 30 feet of small intestine to work with. Even if they took out most of the large intestine he could still live relatively well. Personally know someone with colon cancer who had like 18 inches of his colon removed and he's still... well not healthy since he's an alcoholic but he ain't suffering from a lack of guts.
