To be fair, while the MC can get around it, when you have an implied industrial capacity of "yes" it is not a completely unreasonable concern for that to be known in the BT setting. I think it was brought up earlier on in Iron-Blooded Commander that if the Successor States got their hands on that it might lead to even more bloodshed. Everyone would be thinking that as long as they won completely only once, even if it involved normally inconceivable overextension and losses, then they could always rebuild. So the MC and her allies had to keep it relatively under wraps until they have built up enough for it to not matter. I can see similar thoughts from the Houses in this story too, if the MC is not able to head them off with the Greater Good first.
