Here, a SFW thread for all those RWBY fics, and more to the point, where one can bitch about the series without tying up the NSFW RWBY Rec thread.

So what do you think will happen to Cinder by the end of Volume 4?Here, a SFW thread for all those RWBY fics, and more to the point, where one can bitch about the series without tying up the NSFW RWBY Rec thread.
Ideally a beatdown of epic proportions from RWBY and JNR.So what do you think will happen to Cinder by the end of Volume 4?
I want her to die a humiliating death ala Light Yagami.
It does bug me when all faunus are shown to have nightvision and super-scent powers.
I mean, cats can see in the dark, and Blake has cat-eyes, so... sure. What about Velvet though? Do rabbits have nightvision? What's a rabbit's sense of smell like?
What about Sun? What sorta senses does a monkey have?
They call themselves a separate race/species but they're so close to human that it doesn't seem likely. Even evolution can't account for the sheer number of different "types" of faunus. Not to mention how exact they are.
Like, isnt Blake closer is physiology to Ruby than she is to Sun? Without accounting for gender or age. To be exactly like a regular human girl, all Blake would need to do is lose the second set of ears. In order to be a monkey-girl like Sun, she'd need to lose the ears and GAIN a tail. Ruby sits in the middle, needing to only gain one trait to be like either of them.
Ergo, Blake(Race: Faunus) is closer to Ruby (Race: human) than she is to Sun(Race: Faunus)
Putting these here because they have nothing to do with lewds.
Rabbits aren't quite as good as cat, but they see in the dark better than humans do. Their senses of hearing and smell are much better than a human.
Monkeys have better vision than humans (it helps when climbing and jumping around treetops, among other things), but their sense of smell is weaker, IIRC. The rest of their senses are mostly the same, though they might have better hearing, I don't remember.
Calling them separate species is likely more of a cultural thing than an explicitly scientific one.
I thought the faunus were the product of genetic manipulation and molecular biology in the Old World before the Cataclysm turned it into Remnant?
NEW WORLD OF REMNAN
Qrow talks shit about Vale!
Sounds like he's been hitting the bottle after Beacon fell....
When he mentions the kingdoms, borders light up around entire continents. So that explains how RNJR are still in Vale; Vale technically is an entire continent, not just the city.
The faunus also "have Menagerie" and that entire continent lights up, so that means there's five areas of civilization. The northwestern continent (the "dragon" one) isn't lit up at all.
Transcript, narrated by Qrow:
EDIT: In case the imgur embed is glitchy,
Well, school's definitely out. But let's see if we can't all learn a little something.
Welcome to the world of Remnant. Not the best place to live, but depending on where you're staying, it can get a little easier.
You've got towns and villages that pop up as fast as they fall.

Faunus have Menagerie.

But the sweet spots are Vale, Mystral, Atlas, and Vacuo. The four kingdoms of the modern era. And each one special in its own little way.

Let's talk about Vale. In the grand scheme of things, Vale's pretty well guarded. Rests on the northeastern end of the world's largest continent, Sannas (sp?). Like most successful kingdoms, Vale's survival over the years can mostly be attributed to prime real estate: its front is protected by steep mountains and its back is against waters too shallow for any real threat to pop out of. Not to say I haven't heard some crazy fish stories.

Aside from the main city which the kingdom's named after, Vale territory also extends to several neighboring cities farther along the northwest coastline as well as a small island named Patch. Nice place to raise a family, if you're into that sort of thing. Of course, all attempts to extend the kingdom's reach past the mountains and farther into the mainland have been colossal failures.

But, like I said, in the grand scheme of things Vale ain't half bad. Regular climate, natural barriers, and some serious border defenses means the citizens of Vale can spend less time worrying about survival and more time just living their lives. Of course, with the fall of Beacon, everyone's a little more worried these days.
And they should be.
Already stated that before, in the old Ideas and Discussion Thread as well as the World Building one.
Simple reason.
In fact I already did a piece on this before in the World Building Thread.
The map is upside down relative to ours.
It explains EVERYTHING about the wind patterns, population distribution, why Menagerie has a fucking desert, all of that shit.
Our current maps place Europe on top of the world because they have been dominating the world for fucking centuries, they have created maps in order to subtly reinforce and provide evidence towards their cultural-economic, etc. etc. etc. superiority.
What this effectively means is that the map is upside down because Atlas has dominated the world culturally, economically, and politically long enough as to completely dominate and shape the perception of the world, such that the maps are designed with them on top as priority number 1.
I'm so fucking smug right now.
ALL MY SHIT IS NOW CANON!
FUCK YEAH BITCHES!
MOTHERFUCKING YEAH!
*deep breath*
I'm calm now.
Man this thread is remarkably empty.
Anyway looking for good fics. Mostly things like Jaune being mistaken for badass, Interesting crossovers where a character appears in RWBY, or fics of Jaune getting some sort of really weird semblance. Comedic oneshots are also good.
That bugs me too, especially when someone post images like ten times daily.
