[RWBY] RWBY Shorts

So, a fun and interesting idea from a review I got: What if Warden Schnee wasn't dead?

During the Atlas Arc, while RWBY and JNOR are running around the tundra, they find a crazy old mountain man who is actually Warden. He managed to escape Jacques' attempt to kill him, knew it was Jacques, and faked his own death. He's been working with Ghira's part of the White Fang during this time as a secret informant, and working on bringing down Jacques. It would result in a lot of complicated emotions for Weiss to meet him and find out he was alive this whole time.

It's fine on paper, but Ghira is just not that good a leader and basically accomplished nothing of note. Warden would have basically been twiddling his thumbs the whole while.

Though it would be hilarious if Whitley ended up bring Jacques down before Warden does and ends up labelling his uncle as yet another adult failure.

A different take then? Warden left clues for his family to figure out what actually happened to him. It's just taken years to put the pieces together. So he wasn't a failure, he just had to hide the proof so well so that Jacques couldn't find it.

Nice! Chapter 4 actually made me want to pull for Caesar, when I'd settled to skip and pull Burnice for her Burn mechanics. Love the goof. And the whole, "born to Shonen, wants to Shojo" that Caesar has going amuses me.

As for pairings, none of my brainstorming had the Calydon girls with Jaune. Can't go breaking up Wise's and Belle's Harems after all. Not to say the RWBY girls or Pyrrah might take things the wrong way or stew jealously.

Although... Hmm... What would Wise and Belle look like in RWBY? Throw that on the pile I've already made for myself. Already brainstormed Silver Squad as a defunct Atlas program started shortly after the end of the Great War, or at least the idea for it to keep timelines and ages close to everyone.

I have Lucy and Piper, though to be fair I don't use Piper much. I do like Caesar and Burnice a LOT though, they are fun. And Lighter is a cool bro.

Indeed! They should take things wrong, it would be hilarious. Yang getting jealous of Caesar taking Jaune for a motorcycle ride and her pulling him away to ride with her on Bumblebee would be hilarious.

I figure that Eriadu was a megacity in Anima that was independent of Mistral, and it was sabotaged by various agents to fall to a massive Grimm attack. So New Eriadu was built. Proxies help guide Hunter teams and support them in the field against Grimm, especially Grimm that can manipulate spacetime.

Wise still gets all the ZZZ girls and them just being family friends or basic friends with Jaune makes for max comedy potential!
Wise and Jaune just never meeting but Belle having a crush on Jaune...

all the ZZZ girls just see Jaune as a dork or lil sister brother but tease him relentlessly
now the most important thing who ships Jaune with who?

Do they support Belle so then can call Jaune sister brother-in-law? Ruby? Weiss? Yang? Pyrrha? Glynda? May? Arslan? Jessica? ... Blake?

Also Burnice as Willow and Nick kid ya or nay? i kinda like it especially if she was older then Weiss by 1 year

Oh yeah! Belle having a crush on Jaune would be hilarious.

Let's see: Weiss is familiar with Victoria Housekeeping. Yang could have heard of the Sons of Calydon, along with Ruby. I wrote Miyabi and Blake being childhood friends (and Jaune a bit too). The Cunning Hares are friends with Jaune's dad. What other connections might there be?

And nah, Nick would never cheat on Isabel. Period. Though her being a child Willow had by a random lover could work.

-Everyone suspects Glynda and Jaune are having an inappropriate relationship, especially since he has her personal Scroll number. He isn't... But what are some misunderstandings that might fuel this belief?

Jaune is asked by Glynda to help check the library shelves in the Beacon library because someone keeps leaving inappropriate books on the shelves. In order to get the last one, Glynda has to use one of those rolling library ladders to reach the top of a shelf, loses her balance and lands on Jaune's face. Cue Team RWBY/NPR to appear.

So you would recommend ZZZ then as a game right?

I'm trying to decide whether I should give it a try or not right now.
Right now is probably one of the best times to at least start a new account. 1 Year Anniversery, you can select a Standard S-Rank Character and a Standard S-Rank Weapon(W-Engine).

But yeah, great character designs and more condensed/focused story telling compared to Hoyo's other games.

Adding to Jealousy What if Jaune knows about Lighter and is a fan [him Nick and Tanya watch some matches] but still no idea about Pyrrha so Invincible Girl vs Undefeated Champion

And the Reason Jaune so Oblivous is the ZZZ Girls constant teasing and telling him they are just joking leading to a massive blindspot for our Dork knight

Belle being the one to give Jaune his fake Transcripts still my fav headcannon
and If Weiss hires Ellen Joe how will Ruby react to her Bestie with some Black hair with Red tip Goth Girl 'hanging out'.... Weiss hired her because she missed Klein

How do New Eridu Public Security deal with Team RWBY Antics along side Roman and the Spiders/Junior Gang
Do the Twins know about Jane Doe or do they also have a crush on Seth
Does Junior hate Zhu Yuan and Qingyi

Had a idea where Blake finds out about a new business "exploiting" faunus.

Feline Fine, one half clinic (and pharmacy) one half Spa. Fully staffed by cat faunus or people cosplaying cat faunus.

Catboys, catgirls, catboys who look like girls.

Naturally Blake is livid and drags everyone of her friends to support her Karen Crash Out on the business.

Only to learn that
1. The Business (which is franchising) is owned by a faunus.
2. It has great benefits and a great reputation among faunus and humans.
3.the owner actually knows one of her friends personally.

It's Katy.

Considering proxies are actively helping hunter teams to stay alive, I doubt the Phaethon twins have to hide what they're doing from PubSec this time around. I can also see the members of PubSec being hunters that are specifically tied to local police and kingdom armed forces. Everytime RWBY does some kind of stunt that disrupts the public, the incoming lectures from Zhu Yuan makes Glynda nod in approval and take a few notes. And the only reason Junior hasn't been shut down is because Jane is using him as an informant.

Victoria Housekeeping would have mixed feelings in regards to the Schnee family. The children are all well liked by VH. (Corin has Whitley wrapped around her finger but is completely oblivious about it) All of them are aware of the scummy practices of the SDC under Jaques and are not fans, but the family is a longtime loyal and influential client. Klein was probably a founding member of VH, but retired to normal butler duties.

Edited Burnice's origins to respect AJT's wishes for Nicholas Arc's character.

Also, SPOILERS for ZZZ 1.6, Among The Forgotten Ruins.

Now, I said I'd brainstorm the Cunning Hares and Obol Squad, mostly because of another pair of sisters, Anby and Soldier 11, aka Soldier 00 and Harin of Silver Squad. So lets expound on Silver Squad in Remnant.

Silver Squad was the brainchild of an old, Atlesian warhawk general. While the Great War ended in favor of individualism and against Atlus' designs, there were still plenty in the Atlus military that decided to bide their time and resources to try again. This would eventually manifest as Atlus' surplus of robotic forces such as the Knight series, but others considered the idea of creating perfect and obedient soldiers capable of using Aura. Thus Silver Squad was born.

The events of Silver Squad's rise and fall proceed as shown in ZZZ, accounting for RWBY ages and the two timelines to keep things even with everyone, and culminating in Soldier 00, Anby, taking her own life to force the backer's of Silver Squad to spare and ensure Harin, Soldier 11, lived. Shortly thereafter, the program was discovered and shutdown by General Ironwood, whom would fold Soldier 11 into the Specialists.

Unknown to anyone, another of member of Silver Squad lives. Soldier 03, Twiggy, would barely survive the mission that led to most of Silver Squad being killed. She would be found by Arthur Watts, and eventually recruited be Salem. She's given mundane prosthetics at first, before eventually given Grimm equivalents. I'm also imagining some kind of Grimm/Silver-Eyed Silver Squad clones, or something.

As for Anby, she would be found by Nicole Demara in a Mantle dump. Taking Anby in and ensuring her health, Nicole and Anby would wander Remnant looking for opportunity. This could be the basis here for Nichole knowing EVERYONE, and finding and recruiting Billy and Nekomata. Eventually, the Cunning Hares would move on to greener pastures, figuratively and literally, in Vale.

Focusing on Nicole, she would still be an orphan and grow up to be a criminal with a heart of gold, just in Mantle. She knows Robyn Hill growing up, even goes to the the Atlus Hunter Academy, but washes out. This would eventually lead to Nichole's more cladestine dealings. It would be during this time that Nichole chances upon the newly moved Miyabi Hoshimi, scamming her out of the Hoshimi Family sword, Tailess. As things turn for the worse and Nichole gives Tailess back to Miyabi, she would discover her Semblance is luck-based. Gold-Luck Charm, the more money she has, the stronger Nicole's luck. Unfortunately, it can either be good or bad.

Moving to Obol Squad, Agent Trigger. Given the color names of RWBY and Trigger's intended codename of Phlegethon, I'll say her real name is Scarlett since The Divine Comedy describes Phlegethon as a river of boiling blood. An Atlus Specialist, Trigger's backstory with Lyre Squad is the same, replacing the Hollow Disaster with a particularly bad Grimm Incursion. Trigger lost most of her sight to a Centinel acid attack. It would be later learned that Trigger's Semblance, which she thought previously merely enhanced her perception to a degree, allowed her to see Aura and the Not-Aura of Grimm.

Then we've got the Phaethon siblings. Since Proxies are being known to help Hunters... Let's expand on that. Proxies are a holdover from the Great War and were essentially radio operators, relaying orders and passing information. It was decided that having dedicated operators to help guide hunter teams was a good idea, if not always needed. Hunter jobs that are publicly commissioned have Proxy support as an option, while government jobs have it reviewed as an option. As technology improved, Proxies were able to better support their teams in real-time and became more technologically savvy. This would eventually lead Proxies being known for being technicians and programmers. Also hackers. Of course, for every legal Proxy, their are those that break the law or work with or for criminals.

As for Wise and Belle themselves, I propose they are descended from Silver-Eyed Warriors. The Silver-Eyes themselves haven't breed true in the twins, but there's latent power still. Belle and Wise also have the unique honor of sharing the same Semblance, Technopathy. They've gotten a lot of attention over the years, good and ill, for it and are currently in hiding after the murder of their guardian, Carole Arna.

I'm not too familiar with zzz, but didn't the two main characters become criminals to prove their mentors innocence? It's not that hard to work that into rwby. Bells and wises mentor was somehow involved in Mountain glen. When things went haywire she was another person that was blamed. So Bell and wise are trying to find out what happened at Mount Glen and prove their mentors innocence. Because the government got in on the cover up they decided to go for less than Savory means to find out what was really going on. It integrates them well enough into the RWBY world and preserve some of their character.
